"This film was made entirely on Super 8mm film during 1972-'74 at a cost of approximately £100. The music was improvised to a VHS video cassette of the finished film onto an 8-track tape deck at a cost of just over 100£. The completed film with soundtrack was first screened at the Berlin Film Festival in February 1981.
Throbbing Gristle were Chris Carter, Cosey Fanni Tutti, Peter Christopherson and Genesis P. Orridge. The result of this unique collaboration was always intended as a first move towards a genre of AMbient videos, watchable many times, in much the same way as Ambient music is used to enhance or complete environment. It has no linear, entertainment or musical intent outside that function."
