on the first evening of the hafler trio's steiner theatre event, very little could be seen. a white shape
(cloth) seemed to be stretched and lit.
on the second evening, the theatre seemed darker, but more of the stage became light at distinct moments. the
silhouette of a goose was visible several times. candles illuminated a tiny mirrored triptych, and a rear
curtain was raised at the end of the evening, revealing a bizarre spinning mechanical creation.
on the third evening, projections lit the stage and, eventually, the entire space. projections of hands
waving. the biggest zoetrope/dreamachine ever seen was lit by torchlight. many had a peak inside, myself
included. a very odd, hallucinatory creation.
did i mention that sounds were heard also?
