Where once the Caretaker's music seemed to recall an imaginary past, such memories have faded. It is now the present, the vapour of the here and now, which is crippling, fearful, and sinister.

The ballroom of yore has been supplanted by a frazzle of static, fuzz and chasms of atonal doom.
