Leyland Kirby - sadly, the future is no longer what it was (2CD)

Here i present a limited edition double-cd version of 'sadly, the future is no longer what it was'.

On this version there are different versions and exclusive tracks and copies will be sent to all of those people who pre-ordered the releases a few months ago.

A limited number of these discs will also be made available for sale in late November. More details on that nearer the time.

Again, as in keeping with the whole series of releases, this release is housed in a sleeve designed by exiled Mancunian Ivan Seal with full colour artwork throughout.

It could be said it's about the the fragility of existence and about those times when we pace the streets for answers when the ground under our feet is not so stable.

Those times when we feel invisible to all those around us as we continue to walk, searching for signals and connections, at a loss to our situation and looking for a new pathway forward.

As a document it's emotional and personal, heartbreaking and gentle, it's a six month fairy tale from the big city complete with heroes and villains, with winners and losers.

tracklisting
when we parted my heart wanted to die (original mix)*
and as i sat beside you i felt the great sadness that day
that awful daylight in a lonely place*
whatever it's like now, things are better than they were then*
the sound of music vanishing
the vagaries that life threw at him*
the darkness that seperates remembering from not remembering*
when did our dreams and futures drift so far apart ? (different mix)*
a fluid wilderness of nothing*
on the crumbling city streets hoping for tomorrow*
memories live longer than dreams
no sense in fooling, we’re covered in dreams*
what a world, what a life, what a love*
when we parted my heart wanted to die (stripped and laid bare)*
and at dawn armed with glowing patience, we will enter the cities of glory (full version)*
