Rollins Band is Henry Rollins, Chris Haskett, Sim Cain, Melvin Gibbs and Theo Van Rock.

Overall impression: excellent. Being a very devoted Black Flag and Rollins Band fan for many years now, this latest effort is right up my alley. This album, by far the most produced and refined (thanks to producer Steve Thompson), takes the sound and style of the previous album "Weight" to the next level. Bass player Melvin Gibbs was the new guy for "Weight", but now he's an integral part of the band. The rhythm section really shines thanks to the open arrangements on many of the songs, and all of the songs on this album are kept relatively short. Rollins Band is a hard jazz rock band essentially. Henry is his usual introspective self lyrically, but this time around he tones down the throat destroying yelling of the past for some spoken word type singing on several tracks. Great artwork: x-rays of Rollins screaming with a razor blade in his head, unfortunately though there's no lyrics on the insert. The 1992 album "The End of Silence" will probably continue to maintain the "best album" spot in my opinion, but "Come in and Burn" is a great album that really shows the band's growth.
