Let me say this, right from the start, this is the future of "industrial" music!!! Jesus, this cd is good! Stop reading this and go buy this now! Fuck all that other re-hash shit, J.F. Coleman is doing something new and challenging ...
Hey! Go buy this, now! The best way to describe this: cinematic, big beat, ominous industrial drum n' bass. Coleman is on his own wavelength here kids, he's doing something that I'm pretty sure hasn't been done before. I wont even try breaking down the tracks, my words will not do them justice. Some tracks have uptempo d'n'b, some have slow, methodical industrial beats, some have almost hip hoppish beats, some are more ambient with little or no beat. Lots of unexpected changes and sounds, none of this loop this then loop that and growl cyber-lyrics shit! There's samples of damn near everything, low bass lines, piano, a couple tracks have buried female vocals. Notice, all tracks are short and sweet. This is music for the next millenium, or maybe the films of the next millenium ...
