"Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven!" is their second full length of all new studio recordings spawned from songs performed and perfected live on tour this past year. Inside the spiffy packaging are four lengthy epics on two discs credited to nine to eleven names with a flowchart insert to help keep track of all the many movements. Melody and composition are the key to Godspeed's flowing instrumental masterpieces as gentle motifs are introduced, build into a frenzied orgasm of dense 'rock' then often relinquish and repeat, and quietly outro. Contributing to the beautiful fray are violins, electric guitars, bass, distant horns, bells, static, drones, field recording samples and drums all churning along together like a freight train making occasional stops. Sounds simple, doesn't it? Well, it's not quite that simple but trying to break each of these pieces down into words seems pointless. If you have "Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada" and/or "f#a#oo" you will get what you expect and want and more. GYBE! continue to outdo themselves with each new release as their song writing skills grow and embrace the full potential of their unique and engaging sound. The balance between every element has been honed to perfection on "Lift.." so the result is their most gorgeous work to date. Godspeed Godspeed!
