I'm Wild About That Thing (The Lost Sex Tapes: Position I) (7:10)Overall impression: excellent. This isn't just another cd ... this is a work of art. Coldcut have managed to find the perfect balance between music, message, packaging and multimedia. It takes quite a good chunk of time to soak everything in that you get from this package. The artwork is excellent, the insert is very nicely done with extensive explanations behind each track and environmental propaganda. The music is awesome. The pefect blend of wackiness and positive messages set to all sorts of musical facets: ambient, funky techno, jazz, breakbeat, spoken word (great rant by Jello Biafra of Dead Kennedys fame!), video sampling, etc, etc ... a sample mania, very skillfully weaved together by Coldcut and friends. Oh, did I mention the extra cd? Yep, that's right ... a bonus cd chock full of music software and videos. Like I said, these guys know how to put together a true multimedia package. 75 minutes of superb music, a great insert and a bonus multimedia cd! Very impressive indeed, another winner from Ninjatune and one of my top 5 discs of '97. There were 3 singles for this album: Atomic Moog 2000, More Beats + Pieces and Timber.
