Charles Atlas - Audraglint 10"

San Francisco group CHARLES ATLAS's "The Deadest Bar" / "Stone(d) In Brackish Pool" is a very clean and cunning release. Some of their other stuff has been dappled with experimental textures, but this one sticks closes to something similar to Felt's mid-period instrumental pop translucence. Trumpets let long grace notes float. Ducks drown somewhere in the middle distance. Add a little piano, and it's a perfect recipe for fudge.
