Questions from bands and artists

Does this person write for you?

If somebody contacts you and claims to be a contributing writer for Brainwashed, seeking free concert tickets or CDs, beware. Always send promos to Brainwashed's PO Box unless you have an established relationship with a reliable contributor.

Can you do a website for my band?

No.  We're not "open for business" in that sense.  We have a select few artists and archives we have chosen to host and are not looking to expand the roster.  If we're interested, we'll contact you.

Can I send you my CD to review?

CDs are accepted but we don't review demos.  Our policy is not to review CD-Rs that are not by established artists or on established record labels.  We choose this because there's very little point in reviewing something that is not available to the general public.

Can I send you some MP3s to review?

No.  Absolutely not.

Why didn't you review my CD?

Due to the volume of material received and limited resources (people/time) we cannot guarantee a response to unsoliticted materials. (Unsolicited means "we didn't ask for it.")

Greg Davis, Ben Vida (Bird Show), and Keith "Hrvatski" Whitman

19 Minutes, Quicktime Streaming VideoGreg Davis, Ben Vida, and Keith Fullerton Whitman each have new albums on Kranky and are on the road, touring and playing together as a trio for the first time. While we settled on the name of this Eye segment as "Nightcrawlers," rejected titles included "Menage a' Beard," "Friends That Play Together Stay Together," and "Banjovi." Hopefully we can look forward to an amazing album from the three eventually.
