TURRA, LUIGI Diastima CD/BOOK
Diastima, released by 901 Editions, finds Luigi Turra working at the point where notation, sound and perception almost fall apart from delicacy. The project begins with a series of essential, open graphic scores by French composer Sylvain Chauveau: sheets of subtle marks that refuse to explain themselves. These drawings do not describe in any conventional sense; they suggest, orient and gently mislead. They abandon the security of notation as instruction and move into a more fragile, poetic register, where the musical gesture is only ever evoked, never pinned down. Turra's response is to treat each score as a field of possibilities rather than a plan to be executed. Within this space of indeterminacy, sound does not "realize" the notation so much as traverse it, brushing against its edges and dwelling in its gaps. Using a reduced electroacoustic language -- isolated tones, close mic'd textures, filtered noise, tiny percussive events -- he brings every element to the threshold of its own possibility. A single sound might be stretched until it frays; a faint rustle might be amplified until it becomes a landscape. Internal tensions in the drawings are translated into dynamics of proximity and distance, presence and withdrawal. The scores become devices that activate listening and response, not blueprints to be followed. Across the album, Turra continues the trajectory that has marked his work for years: a commitment to precision, subtraction and a pared back elegance. Diastima defines a space in which music and listening effectively coincide; what you hear is as much the act of attention as it is any "composition" in the traditional sense. The title -- Diastima as interval, distance, suspension -- is central. These pieces inhabit the space between two presences: between mark and sound, intention and reception, event and memory. Rather than building through accumulation, the music proceeds by articulating voids, waits and minimal signs. It is in those intermediate spaces that the work takes shape, asking the listener to lean into the almost nothing where, unexpectedly, a great deal is happening.

MOORMAN, CHARLOTTE Oeuvres Sonores LP
Alga Marghen present Charlotte Moorman's Oeuvres Sonores LP, the missing chapter from the series of LPs issued in relation to the presentation done between 2008 and 2013 at Centre Pompidou. Side A features a collection of rare recordings by Charlotte Moorman, not included in the original edition of the Cello Anthology Boxset. The program includes John Cage "26' 1.1499 for a String Player"; Charlotte Moorman and Terry Jennings performing "Piece for Cello and Saxophone" recorded at Judson Hall during the 2nd Annual New York Festival of the Avant-Garde in August 30, 1964; three takes of Nam June Paik "TV Cello," the first as an excerpt from Nam June Paik's "Good Morning, Mr. Orwell," WNET TV New York - Centre Pompidou Paris in 1984, while the other two were recorded at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney in 1976 and at the Chicago, Museum of Contemporary Art in September 1982. The tracks are punctuated by recordings of Charlotte Morman's answering machine, giving listeners an insight of her everyday life and connections to John Cage, Nam June Paik, John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Jean Dupuy, and several other Fluxus artists, gallerists and friends. Side B features the famous TV Cello -- conceived by Paik for Moorman as a "living sculpture. This LP offers an in-situ recording realized on one of the three days inaugurating the Paik retrospective at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, on 11, 12 and 14 September 1982. This LP contains the "Concerto for TV Cello and Videotapes," largely improvised, including a tape collage by Ornette Coleman prepared for Charlotte. Final edition issued in a limited run of 150 copies only, also including 16 posters and concert programs (both in color and back-and-white), or the full documentation of Moorman's Avant Garde Festival Of New York. The record comes in a four-color sleeve with the image from the Oeuvres sonores series.

CHIARI, GIUSEPPE Intervalli LP
Alga Marghen presents the historical Intervalli by Giuseppe Chiari, a world premiere of the compete cycle of 12 Intervalli. Elegantly performed and recorded by Reinier Van Houdt, this timeless composition from 1950-56 anticipates Minimalist by a decade as well as Concetual and Sytems-Based-Composition while intersecting the perspectives that would soon be developed by Fluxus, the group Chiari would join in 1962. Giuseppe Chiari's Intervalli for piano still retain the charm of a discovery, even when considered in the context of their historical perspective. Composed within a time frame that extends throughout the entire first half of the 1950s, they are striking for the precocity of their compositional conception based on a radical reduction of musical parameters on mathematical and rational grounds. One might also be surprised to discover that Chiari's early compositions follow such a rigorous logical approach in the organization of musical material, particularly in light of the subsequent direction his work took, which established him, within the Neo-Avant-Garde, as the most resolute and determined exponent of gestural music -- a genre thus free from any dogma or structural constraints. In Intervalli Chiari focuses on the idea of a rational "arrangement" of the sequence of sounds and/or their simultaneity through a more or less controlled system of repetitions of variants or invariants, defined by their interval features and duration. The systematic processes of limiting and repeating musical parameters are elements that, by analogy, later came to the fore with the birth of musical minimalism. It would, however, be a stretch to regard Chiari's Intervalli as a driving force that will have a direct impact on the emergence and establishment of this current. Whilst minimal music employs the systematic reduction of parameters and their repetition to guide unidirectional development as a gradual process, Chiari's Intervalli move towards an opposing concept that "explores the relationships between sounds without any temporal hierarchy" in order to achieve "music that strips succession of its discursive power." A clear indication of an objective, almost atomistic conception of sound, aimed at deconstructing its syntactic homologation. Hence its conceptual relevance, which cannot be equated with the canonical currents of minimalism: a nuance that would subsequently predispose Chiari to an informal openness towards the performative gesture. The Intervalli cycle thus marked Chiari's first point of arrival, but also a point of no return -- save for the final decade of his creative career, when a still surprising new recourse to musical writing was mediated precisely by a gestural instinctiveness. This first edition of complete Intervalli also includes liner notes by Gabriele Bonomo as well as the reproduction of some of the pages from the original score.

SABABA 5 Aspan (White Vinyl) LP
White color vinyl. Sababa 5 continues their musical journey following the success of their acclaimed self-titled debut album, which fused deep funk and Middle Eastern grooves. This offering, still under the Batov Records label, ventures into more explorative and experimental instrumental compositions. While evolving their musical direction, Aspan delves into the realm of psychedelic rock while retaining the essence of the band's signature Middle Eastern groove. In recent times, Sababa 5's talent has gained recognition on prominent French radio stations such as Radio Nova and FIP. Their tracks have become regular features on BBC Radio 6 Music, drawing the attention of notable figures and emerging talents like Gilles Peterson, Cerys Mathews, Jamz Supernova, Gideon Coe, and Deb Grant. Leading music publication Songlines has praised the band's "slick precision" and the captivating elements they infuse, ranging from "Moog synth licks" to "flavors reminiscent of Wes Montgomery-style guitar." The origin of the title stems from a misinterpretation of an upcoming storm named Alpis that proved to be milder than anticipated. The name resonated, resulting in several tracks adopting storm-related titles. Concluding the album is "Indra," a laidback composition that stands as its most serene offering. This track's fusion of psychedelic folk rock is poised to capture the hearts of many, serving as a poignant postscript to the bittersweet conclusion of summer -- a narrative of love discovered and lost.

GAYLES, BILLY Night Howler 10"
"Long before Ike Turner rose to global fame alongside Tina Turner, he discovered a wealth of extraordinary vocal talents -- and among the most powerful was Billy Gayles. With a voice deeply rooted in gospel and driven by unrestrained energy, Gayles stands as one of the most underrated figures of the early rock 'n' roll era. This exclusive 10" vinyl release delivers a concentrated selection of his most powerful recordings -- raw, intense, and uncompromising. From his explosive 1954 debut Night Howler to the legendary 1956 sessions with Ike Turner & The Kings of Rhythm for Federal Records, this collection captures a sound far ahead of its time. Tracks like 'I'm Tore Up,' 'Take Your Fine Frame Home,' and 'Do Right Baby' showcase Gayles' remarkable ability to fuse emotional depth with musical precision. Driven by Ike Turner's groundbreaking guitar work -- featuring wild, then-revolutionary whammy bar techniques -- these recordings radiate electrifying intensity. Additional rare tracks from the late 1950s and early 1960s complete the portrait of a versatile and passionate artist. Pressed on 10" vinyl and cut at 45 RPM, this edition offers superior sound dynamics and punch, bringing the energy of these recordings vividly to life. Strictly limited to just 500 copies worldwide, this release is aimed squarely at collectors, vinyl enthusiasts, and fans of authentic rhythm and blues and early rock 'n' roll. Billy Gayles combines the emotional depth of Ray Charles with the raw force of early rock 'n' roll. This is more than a compilation -- it's a long-overdue tribute to an exceptional artist."

CERRONE Supernature (Cerrone III) (The Official 2014 Edition) LP+CD
2026 restock. Because Music reissues on LP (with bonus CD format added) the 1977 album Supernature by French disco legend Marc Cerrone. Big hits can be the result of a combination of circumstances. Massively popular at the time, crowned with the success of Love in C Minor and Cerrone's Paradise that made him a disco hero of the '70s, the musician started working on his new album differently. This time, the inspiration came from a synthesizer, an instrument he never used before. ARP, an American manufacturer, provided him with it. "I was given this machine and didn't know how to use it," he remembers. "I twiddled a few knobs, trying to get some sounds out of it. Then, as I was playing on the keyboard, a bass line came to me that I immediately recorded on my Revox. It was 'Supernature!'" Lene Lovich, future queen of the punk and new wave English scene, wrote the lyrics. It was a science fiction story, similar in spirit to The Planet of the Apes. Once the track and album were finished, Cerrone asked the record company to focus on "Supernature," rather than the rest of the record, in the vein of his previous work. History would prove him right. This track, the more iconic of his catalog, would turn out to be his biggest hit. This third album (also called Supernature) would also sell eight million copies. Always a funny guy, Cerrone can be seen on the cover of the record, but without naked women. Creatures with animal-heads in a surgery room replaced them. It meant a mutant and more synthetic kind of disco was born. Pressed on pale green vinyl + CD. Includes a 4-page booklet with a 30cm x 30cm poster-booklet with photos and biographic notes.

ANTUNES, LUCIE Silence CD
Silence marks the return of Lucie Antunes following Carnaval (2023). The album was born from a desire to clear space -- and to rediscover, through dance and collective creation, a renewed artistic momentum. Developed from a text by poet Laura Vazquez and co-produced with Canblaster, Silence exists at the intersection of record, performance, and immersive experience, in connection with a work created alongside choreographer Mathilde Monnier. Through an organic and hypnotic sound palette -- transformed voices, percussion, vibraphones, and synthesizers -- the album explores altered states of consciousness, offering a sensory journey between shadow and light. Surrounded by artists such as Clara Ysé, Halo Maud, and Rebecca Chaillon, Lucie Antunes delivers a collective work that is both intense and deeply inhabited. Silence is a passage -- a crossing between bodies, voices, and worlds -- where music becomes a space to feel, to disappear, and to be reborn.

INFANTINO ED IL GRUPPO DI TRICARICO, ANTONIO Follie Del Divino Spirito Santo CD
In this work, first published in 1978 by Cetra, Antonio Infantino continues to express his ritualistic and shamanic relationship with the musical traditions of Southern Italy. The recordings focus on the mystery of death and the sacraments, the light of the spirit and the divine that descends and conquers souls. The phenomenon of Tarantism is still strong, the power of dance as a symbol of transformation and revolt, a therapeutic process of final healing. Folk music celebrates a deep sense of community, the memory of a peasant world that no longer exists but is still alive in the collective memory. Behind the tight and insistent rhythm of the percussion, the voices of the people, the colors of the squares and the scratchy string arrangements always emerge. The magical sound of the bagpipes is lost in the alleys of the villages. Infantino sings of minor cultures, the poor and oppressed classes, who share joys and sorrows, dance and music as secular forms of liberation.

DOUM & THE FARYDS, AL Ipnagogico CD
Al Doum &The Faryds have always been an enchanting organism, a timeless land of wisdom, humility, brotherhood and love. Their blend of spiritual jazz, psychedelia and Afro-Latin rock holds a magical balance, turning their music into a tropical celebration filled with harmony and deep vibrations. A volcano of emotion, where the poetry of rising and falling voices becomes a gospel and soul illumination, echoing from faraway places. The expanded horn section -- alto and tenor sax, soprano sax and bass clarinet -- erupts with power, igniting incandescent grooves. Sax lines weave and chase one another like a train in relentless motion, evoking the urgency of post-punk, a wry Zappa-esque eccentricity, and exotic jazz-folk arrangements tinged with retro flair. A hybrid assemblage, deeply anchored in the '60s and '70s, flowing through free-form instrumental turns and psych-tribal impulses, where the guitar traces unexpected, lysergic, dreamlike paths. BOHON, JOHN PAUL Terlingua LP
John Paul Bohon's Terlingua is teeming with electronic life, a record that quite literally synthesizes the veteran musician and engineer's tactile approach to sound and has resulted in a mind-expanding work possessing impossible warmth. Terlingua is equally reminiscent of the languid, electronics-focused psych of legendary forebears like Cluster and Can alongside the ecstatic sprawl of contemporaries like Bitchin Bajas and Kaitlin Aurelia Smith. Bohon constructs entire worlds on these seven tracks, dense with jagged terrain that provides a thrilling journey for listeners. Utilizing an array of vintage synths and electronic instruments, Bohon made extensive use of reel-to-reel tape manipulation across Terlingua. The process added layers of warm texture that ripple through moments like the planetary ecstasy of the album's bookending "Alice" suites, which resemble the sharp ambient drone of Kompakt founder Wolfgang Voigt. Terlingua is Bohon stretching his legs and considerable analog know-how to craft a work that heads towards total aural bliss, making for another exciting entry in an increasingly fascinating catalog.

SINIGAGLIA, RICCARDO L'Uccello Del Paradiso LP
These three previously unreleased tracks reflect the cultural influences of a very young Riccardo Sinigaglia. In particular, the Anti-psychiatry movement founded by Ronald David Laing, author of the influential books The Politics of Experience and The Bird of Paradise. As well as Jung's theory of archetypes, a subject explored in depth in the writings of Elémire Zolla. The compositional processes of concrete music are fundamental, while the extensive use of fragments from other cultures reflects a sensitivity matured through his travels in Africa and Asia. The mixture of aquatic and liquid sounds manifests a new state of mind: bird songs, hidden streams, marsh plants, invisible drains, light waves, African, Tibetan, and Indonesian echoes. Everything is skillfully collected using various recording methods (4 tracks Teac 3340, Akai S612) and then assembled on tape with reverbs, equalizers, and the electronic moods of the Revox. Music conceived in different times and situations, but with a similar mood, that of the waters of Lake Orta as a perennial source of peace and inspiration.

LERO LERO Lero Lero LP
Lero Lero is a collective of artists gathered around a shared core: the Sicilian Sound Archive of the twentieth century. The melodies it preserves, remnants of a magical world now almost entirely lost, are revived with a critical spirit and a contemporary sensibility. It is an act of reclaiming, reworking, and giving back to the community a heritage that has long remained suspended in time. In the voices of farmers, shepherds, and washerwomen, in songs of indignation and in lullabies, one can glimpse a kind of submerged Atlantis, rich with forgotten treasures. These sounds draw the listener towards fundamental questions in an increasingly plasticized artificial world. Lero Lero's sound is both archaic and visionary, infused by Mediterranean electronic textures and microtonal melismas, echoing the hypnotic tones of bagpipes and marranzani, the laments of cart drivers, and the cries of salt workers. A sound that, starting from its most ancestral elements, seeks to rethink the legacy of oral tradition through a consciously anti-folkloristic approach. The album's artwork, created by Giulia Parlato, features a suspended image disrupted by the figure of the crocodile from Palermo's Vucciria district, a submerged presence that resurfaces to unsettle the composition, mirroring the very nature of the project. Co-produced with Shhh/Peaceful and Panta.

ELDER Through Zero (Green Smoke Vinyl) 2LP
"Two decades into their existence, Elder remain an anomaly in the heavy underground -- a band with the ability to absorb and shed influences from a myriad of genres without falling into pastiche or losing their identity. New album Through Zero is a reaffirmation of their commitment to pushing boundaries and cements their status as leaders in heavy psychedelic rock. Elder has long since mastered crushing riffs, melodic jaunts, progressive patterns, hypnotic grooves and ethereal atmospherics. Recorded in Berlin between tours in 2025, Through Zero is possibly their most immediate and engaging record to date, allowing seeds from outside the sphere of rock music to take root and bloom within their progressive framework. Listeners will find new textures, sequences and sounds woven into Elder's endlessly bombastic take on heavy rock. Elder was formed in a small coastal town in Massachusetts around 2006 by three longtime friends with a passion for down-tuned heavy music. Over the years, the band has gained a guitarist, lost a drummer, relocated (mostly) from the United States to Germany, played hundreds of shows from small clubs to arenas across the world and released six full-length albums, four EPs and two live records. 'Through Zero' is a term borrowed from music engineering, which describes the property of a frequency being able to pass through the zero point and continue into the negative. While not a concept rooted in philosophy, it resonates on an existential level: the zero point is not an end, but a midpoint along a mostly unseeable path where the journey is the destination and reality is less linear than most of us understand."

ONDANACONDA Ondanaconda CD
Ondanaconda does not compose with the jaw harp, but through it. For their self-titled debut album, the quartet turns this lamellophone, often perceived as archaic, into the record's sole sound source. Found for centuries across continents, from Asia to Europe, the jaw harp is played against the teeth, using the mouth as a resonating chamber, shaping sound through breath and bodily movement. Here, amplified, prepared and sometimes pushed to its limits, it becomes percussion, bass, drone and texture -- a true mouth synthesizer with vast possibilities. Between performance and trance, Ondanaconda crafts an unidentified sonic object, somewhere between collective ritual and raw electroacoustic experiment. Each piece emerges from specific combinations of instruments, exploring timbral affinities and rhythmic or harmonic potentials, while leaving room for drift and improvisation. Repetition acts as an unstable engine, bending patterns until they morph into something else. Together, Laurent Bruttin, Antoine Läng, John Menoud, and Daniel Zea weave a dense, shifting mass where individual voices dissolve into an organic, almost hallucinatory polyphony. Conceived as a continuum, the album unfolds as a hypnotic flow, a physical and immersive music that moves from mouths to bodies, saturating the surrounding space. A radical UFO, at the crossroads of concert, performance and sound installation.

BLIND YEO The Lemoine Point CD
Based in Cornwall, Blind Yeo emerged from the isolation of lockdown. Built as an open collective, the project brings together musicians, visual artists and performers, developing a practice rooted in improvisation, live energy and shared creation. The Lemoine Point, their debut album, was recorded on a disused airfield near St Agnes. The title refers to a hidden geometric center where lines converge, a metaphor that runs through the record as past, present and future meet within a single moment. Much of the album was captured live by a core ensemble including Sam Pert, Phil Self, Henry Greenham, Philippa Blum, Jake Sheridan, Will Greenham, and Anouska Helm. These recordings are balanced by more intimate sessions, shaping a sound that moves between reworked folk traditions, electronic textures and raw, organic energy. Across the album, fragments of stories and emotions intertwine, exploring themes of love, duality and disorientation in time. Rooted in the Cornish landscape yet open in form, The Lemoine Point unfolds as a space where place, people and memory converge into a fluid and immersive whole.

FAUST So Far LP
2026 restock; LP version. So Far, so far out. By 1972, Faust had already dismantled the concept of a rock album. With their self-titled debut, they tore through convention with tape edits, abstract structures, and a scathing collage of cultural detritus. Its successor, recorded just six months later, was not a retreat from that radicalism, but its evolution. Instead of challenging form through outright fragmentation, the band now disguised their subversion in structures that almost, almost, resemble songs. But don't be fooled. This is still Faust: unpredictable, subversive, and unbound by convention. The circumstances surrounding the album's creation were no less unconventional than those of their debut. Faust were still ensconced in the converted schoolhouse in Wümme, Lower Saxony, and its improvised studio -- a riddle of cabling, tape and custom electronics. By this point, the band had grown more cohesive as a unit but remained steadfastly anti-commercial, despite the pleas of their label. Taken as a whole, So Far is less a linear progression from Faust's debut than a sideways leap into a parallel sonic dimension. Where the first album exploded rock from the inside out, So Far rearranges the wreckage into strange new shapes. There's a sly-humor here too, buried under the fuzz and tape edits, a knowing wink that these sonic detours aren't acts of nihilism, but of creation. Faust were building something. What, exactly, remains elusive, and still utterly intoxicating.

KITCHLEW, RACHEL Flirty Ghost LP
2026 repress on yellow vinyl. Flirty Ghost is an evocative LP by Rachel Kitchlew, a jazz and contemporary harpist known for pushing the boundaries of her instrument. A blend of jazz, ambient, and experimental sounds, the album was crafted in a spontaneous, deeply personal atmosphere, recorded late at night in the cozy, smoky setting of SFJ headquarters featuring Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip), Dave Bardon, SFJ, and Sholto. Inspired by everything from Henry Mancini to Dorothy Ashby, this LP captures an eerie, playful essence, like a "flirty ghost," while celebrating exploration and self-expression. The album holds emotional depth, particularly in tracks like "Truncate" and "Cyclical," which were recorded shortly after the passing of Rachel's grandmother, Sheila Horton, whose work is featured on the back cover. With the collaboration of close friends and talented musicians, Flirty Ghost represents a new chapter for Rachel, marking a joyful departure from her solo harp work into a collective, experimental musical journey.

MUSI/PAOLO SPACCAMONTI, PINO Border Soundscapes II LP
Building upon their recent, incredible immersions into the contemporary landscape of experimental sound, Die Schachtel returns with one of their most striking releases to date, Border Soundscapes II, distilling their longstanding efforts at the borders of interdisciplinary practice with a profound sense of accomplishment and grace. Instigated and curated by the label's own Bruno Stucchi, who also contributed the release's graphic design, this very special vinyl only art edition encounters the guitarist and composer, Paolo Spaccamonti, operating in spectral collaboration with the renowned photographs of Pino Musi: utilizing 24 images selected by the artist, published as a three and a half meter long leporello (accordion style) book that accompanies the edition, as the score for the detail and ambience laden abstractions that sprawl across the album's two sides. Born in Salerno, but currently based in Paris, Pino Musi's photographs, exhibited widely across the globe and featured in the Venice Biennale, utilize modern architecture, classical ruins, steel mills, rural architecture, and urban cityscapes as their subjects, focused on pure form and compositional abstraction. Paolo Spaccamonti is a Turin-based guitarist and composer who, for more than two decades, has worked with sound across numerous creative disciplines, bringing him into intimate collaboration with everyone from Jochen Arbeit of Einstürzende Neubauten, to composers like Stefano Pilia, Riccardo Sinigaglia, Jim White, and numerous others. Imbued with a deep sense of abstraction and space that mirrors the foundational elements of Musi's photographs, Spaccamonti's work on guitar, often unrecognizable as such, unfurls across the album's two sides with a striking degree of range, embracing a palette of industrially tinged clangs and scrapes, subsumed tones, passages of dense distortion, overlapping and shifting drones, endlessly surprising tonal and timbral punctuations, and deconstructed melodies, embedded within the sprawling ambiences that bind these actions within a single, cohesive world. Issued as a very special vinyl only art edition, limited to 200 copies, housed in a silkscreened sleeve, hand-signed by Musi, Spaccamonti, and Stucchi, accompanied by a three and a half meter long leporello book comprising Musi's 24 photographs. Truly amazing and not to be missed.

FUGAZI In On The Kill Taker LP
2026 restock; on crystal vellum colored vinyl. Fugazi's third album, originally released in 1993. Remastered with full color inner sleeve. "Part of this album's beauty is the track list. It begins with the upbeat number 'Facet Squared' which is almost pop-punkish in its delivery. Essentially the tracking of the album begins it with the lightest material and by the end you're cast into Guy's own torments with the quiet brooding 'Last Chance For A Slow Dance.' The middle of the album is almost completely dedicated to the noise experimental side of Fugazi, especially the centerpiece and half-instrumental '23 Beats Off,' a soundscape of harsh noise that supposedly reflects the deterioration of a relationship... With Guy's brilliant performance, lyrically and vocally, walls of sound encapsulate his pleas of 'Why don't you come to my house? Why don't you drag me right out?'. It is truly one of the most beautiful yet aggressive songs in Fugazi's vast library." -- Sputnik Music

FILA BRAZILLIA Old Codes New Chaos (Limited Edition) 4LP
Packaging issues, delayed to July or later...4LP version. Music springs eternal. Recognizing the enduring power of timeless albums to guide the world through life, Forever Records is a reissue series dedicated to rediscovering lost musical treasures from across the spectrum of head-feeding, heart-rending electronic music. Established by Rush Hour co-founder Christiaan Macdonald and Delsin founder Marsel van der Wielen, Forever Records places heartfelt faith in a carefully curated sequence of seminal, largely forgotten records from disparate eras, scenes and spaces within electronic music history. Tipped towards the mellow and introspective, these are albums that stop time when the needle hits the groove, stirring only when it's time to flip over before you sink back into the experience. That's what albums were always meant to be about, back then, right now, always and forever. Striking the sweet spot between sampledelic downtempo and Earth-rooted deep house, Fila Brazillia's Old Codes New Chaos is a maverick patchwork of grooves and soundscapes. Crafted in North East England in the vibrant period before chill-out was co-opted by advertising, Steve Cobby and Dave McSherry's sharp-eared funk formula remains a cult classic suite of exquisite productions spanning deep house, broken beat and ambient shot through with wry humor. Last physically released in limited quantities in 2002, Forever Records are revisiting this 1994 gem with an extensive reissue led by a triple vinyl pressing, newly mastered from the original mixdowns. Also available as a limited edition, 4LP edition including bonus tracks plus an exclusive print of Catherine Brennand's watercolor painting that graces the front of the album. All editions also feature liner notes by veteran music journalist John McCready.

TCHICAI QUINTET/PETER KOWALD DUO, JOHN I.C.P./Jutto-Ku Kyoto LP
In late September and early October 1969, John Tchicai toured throughout Denmark with a special quintet. The international band was a notable one, bringing together musicians from Denmark and Holland whose conceptual differences were as important as the musical values they held in common. Tchicai and two of his closest Danish collaborators -- trumpeter Hugh Steinmetz and guitarist Pierre Dørge -- embraced an international perspective that incorporated far flung influences from African music, contemporary classical, and jazz into a cool, yet playful and joyous, modernity. In this quintet they worked with two pillars of the Dutch Instant Composer's Pool, pianist Misha Mengelberg and Han Bennink. Ironic and subversive, they displayed a willingness, you might even say an eagerness, to disrupt accepted conventions of any kind. The music on this LP, recorded on October 9, 1969, at Danish Radio Studio 11 in Copenhagen, consists of compositions they'd played on the recently concluded tour plus a group improvisation. Of course, Tchicai's international collaborations extended beyond neighboring Holland. He was a most cosmopolitan musician, performing and recording with musicians in the U.S., Asia, Africa, and Europe. Perhaps surprisingly, one of his most sympathetic European partners was German bassist Peter Kowald. Tchicai did share some musical affinities with the German improvising scene. As Kowald and his compatriots, such as Peter Brötzmann and Alexander von Schlippenbach, took inspiration from the cathartic energy and the collective improvisation of free jazz, especially Albert Ayler. His appearance on John Coltrane's Ascension, would have also earned him respect among the hard-blowing Germans. Tchicai and Kowald mutual openness to the sounds of other cultures and free improvisation made them quite compatible, so it's something of a shock that this is the only documentation of their work together. The two improvisors found themselves in Japan in 1983, when they recorded the astonishing duet contained on the second side of this LP. Their improvisation in Kyoto is an amazingly resourceful conversation a kind of improvisation which remains far from "world music," and with new textures expanding their musical vocabularies and allowing them to develop new ideas; qualities that allowed Tchicai to flourish in so many different settings. Includes an insert with beautiful photos from the John Tchicai Quintet sessions with portraits of Tchicai, Bennink, Mengelberg, Steinmetz and Dørge as well as liner notes by Ed Hazell.

TCHICAI/CADENTIA NOVA DANICA, JOHN Wigmore Hall 1968 LP
To the best of anyone's knowledge this performance by John Tchicai and Cadentia Nova Danica was the first ever jazz- or improvisation-type concert held at London's hallowed recital room Wigmore Hall. 1968 was a year of Denmark's extensive cultural program in Britain, which included a poorly attended CND concert, not recorded, on 2nd October at Manchester's Free Trade Hall. That this was to be the sole concert by Tchicai -- of New York Contemporary Five, New York Art Quartet, Coltrane's Ascension fame -- was stupefyingly ridiculous so Anthony Barnett set about trying to organize a London concert. He traipsed the capital in search of an available venue without luck until, with no thought of a positive outcome, he entered Wigmore Hall. To his astonishment, with few questions asked, they said yes. Following that, there was the matter of work permits. Barnett visited the relevant office and they too said yes, probably because of the involvement of The Royal Danish Embassy and the Danish Cultural Ministry with the Manchester concert. Danmarks Radio asked the BBC to record the concert on its behalf. The arrangement was that Barnett would receive a small fee and a complete set of the tapes. Afterwards, it turned out that the BBC had edited the tapes down to what it sent to Danmarks Radio, as broadcast and now heard here for the first time since. Sadly, and quite true to form, the BBC had wiped the rest. And it was a struggle for Anthony Barnett to get back the tape that did remain. Possibly it shows how difficult things can be when one acts independently. Featuring Cadentia Nova Danica at the absolute peak of their powers; furious, rich and dense, moving between freeform improvisation and African touchstones before erupting into incandescent free improvisation. Includes an insert with the reproduction of both Wigmore Hall and Manchester's Free Trade Hall original press releases. Liner notes by Anthony Barnett.

CONTEMPORARY JAZZ QUARTET FEAT. SONNY MURRAY & GARY PEACOCK, THE Predetermination LP
Includes four-page insert. "TCJQ together with Gary Peacock and Sunny Murray! This is THE sunken treasure. This is music I have only heard about. And yet, here it is. Unbelievable. Intact. Preserved. Beaming of energy and JOY! This is a sensational find. My favorite Danes exploding together with my favorite double bass player all time. Gary Peacock. The engine. The power engine. I can hardly breathe when he plays, and when he starts soloing and creating beautiful duo bass action with his colleague Steffen Andersen in this very first recording of 'Predetermination,' 10 minutes in -- my heart expands, and the world suddenly looks and sounds entirely different. Add Sunny Murray on top of it all? The master of unreal flow and accents. Sunny was a beast to deal with at the time. But what he adds to the music is pure poetry. No other drummer did anything even close to this back in the mid-'60s. To have Steinmetz and Beckerlee playing alongside Peacock and Murray in 1964 is as good as it gets. The absolute point-zero of free jazz, Spiritual Unity, was just released. It changed everything. This is the mother of it all. The birth. You would think Steinmetz and Beckerlee would have had a little anxiety joining the American duo. There is nothing of uncertainty or vague playing here. This is for real. KEB, BASTIEN The Killing of Eugene Peeps CD
Originally released in 2020. A soundtrack to an imagined film. Bastien Keb presents his third album, The Killing of Eugene Peeps, an ode to Giallo, '70s crime flicks, and French new wave cinema. Befit with downbeat anti-ballads, psychedelic folk, and warped soliloquies, the music is an imagined score to a film that exists only in Keb's mind. The album was conceived, composed, performed, and produced by Bastien Keb in his bedroom. The music flows between spoken word narrative pulled from Keb's own journals, hauntingly layered vocals that conjure up dreamscapes and nostalgia, and rich, orchestral arrangements which were in fact all recorded via one singular microphone. Various contributions from longtime collaborators include Nottingham-based rapper Cappo, narrator Kenneth Viota, and album artwork by artist Will Morrison, who has worked with Bastien Keb for several years.
"One that recalls, variously, the proto-trip-hop of Serge Gainsbourg and Jean-Claude Vannier, the rumbling scores of Bernard Herrmann and the cinematic swagger of Barry Adamson." --John Lewis, The Guardian |

COE & JOHN HORLER, TONY Dancing in the Dark CD
Originally released in 2021. Piano and clarinet duo albums are few and far between within the jazz canon. In the case of Dancing in the Dark, versatile horn player Tony Coe chose to stick to the clarinet as his saxophone case was too heavy, or so that's how pianist John Horler recounts it. The performance in question takes place at St Michael's Church, Appleby in 2007 as part of the annual Appleby Jazz Festival. The setting is warm and intimate as is the church acoustic, a perfect backdrop for the varied repertoire of standards and original compositions performed. Coe and Horler dance their way through Bill Evans' "Person I Knew" and Cole Porter's "Night and Day" as well as Horler's own "Piece for Poppy," dedicated to his partner Wendy, and Coe's contrafact to Autumn Leaves, titled "Some Other Autumn." Both players push and pull the well-known melodies to suit the moment yet maintain complete synergy with one another, with Horler's Bill Tatum-esque chord voicings and meandering lyrical interludes giving platform to Coe's resounding, cadenza-like improvisations. Coe recounts this as "one of my very best performances, which would not have been possible without a partner who is one of the finest jazz pianists in the world." The respect from Horler is mutual, with him noting, "Tony was such a great player that it took sometime for me to realize that I could play a bit too." Their trust in each other, in the music, and in the moment, rings true with this live performance Dancing in the Dark, which finally sees the light of day.

BINKER AND MOSES Escape the Flames 2LP
Originally released in 2020. Those who know the duo will appreciate that every Binker and Moses performance is distinct in itself, characterized by a mutual spontaneity and a tireless interrogation of the infinite. This six-track recording, taken from their Journey to the Mountain of Forever album launch at the iconic Total Refreshment Centre back in 2017, is a whole new interpretation of the studio album's first disc (with the opening tune clocking in at a full 17 minutes of semi-free exploration). The audience's excitement, a sound-bed of whoops and yells, is heard intermittently throughout and only adds to the incredible vibe -- a tonic perhaps to these gig-dry, restricted times.

COOKERS, THE Look Out! (Japanese Edition) LP
Japanese edition. Look Out! is the triumphant sixth album return of jazz supergroup The Cookers. Recorded at the iconic Van Gelder studio in Englewood Cliffs and cut using a Van Gelder-era '67 Haeco Sculley lathe at Gearbox Records, the seven-track release comprises original, fresh pieces written by Cecil McBee, Billy Harper, and George Cables which channel the heady, aggressive post-bop era of the mid-60s. Whereas the majority of the jazz tradition's elder statesmen head their own groups, this is one of the few jazz bands to contain legacy musicians of this caliber functioning as an equitable, long-standing ensemble. Billy Harper, Cecil McBee, George Cables, Eddie Henderson, and Billy Hart all came up in the heady era of the mid '60s: Hart and Henderson were members of Herbie Hancock's groundbreaking Mwandishi group; Cecil McBee anchored Charles Lloyd's great '60s quartet alongside Keith Jarrett and Jack DeJohnette; Billy Harper was part of Lee Morgan's last group, as well as being a member of Max Roach's Quartet and Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers; while George Cables held down the piano chair in numerous bands including groups led by Sonny Rollins, Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard, Dexter Gordon, and Art Pepper. David Weiss and Donald Harrison, from a more recent generation and the youngest members of the band, are experts in this forthright lingo, having gained experience performing with Art Blakey, Bobby Hutcherson, Freddie Hubbard, Charles Tolliver, Roy Haynes and Herbie Hancock. After 14 years together, again the incredibly high level of musicianship has only increased with the revisiting of their boundary-pushing music from these revered improvisers.
"Genuine all-stars" -The Guardian "Individually, they've been at the core of the post-bop jazz scene for decades. As a group, they've been thrilling audiences around the world for the past 5 years." --NPR "A dream team of forward-leaning hard-bop" --NY Times |

With trumpeter Axel Kaner-Lidstrom (Cykada, Maisha) as musical director, the collective comprises some of London's most promising young musicians, who together play in or with the likes of SEED Ensemble, Alabaster de Plume, Shunaji, Nihilism, PÆN, and Nardedey. Lluis Domenech Plana on flute, James Akers on tenor saxophone, and Ayodeji Ijishakin on tenor saxophone complete the horn section, with Saskia Horton on violin, Beatriz Rola on violin, and Emma Barnaby on cello making up the strings. Rhythm is available in handfuls from Hamish Nockles-Moore on double bass and Harry Ling on drums, complemented by Roella Oloro on keys, Maria Osuchowska on harp, and Paris Charles on guitar, with last but not least, Plumm and Dilara Aydin-Corbett on vocals. As a true collective, each member is vital, contributing equally to the whole in terms of playing and writing. Compositions formed out of group discussions, which in the case of Illusions & Realities, delved into childhood, stoicism, astrophysical theories, and neurological delusions, all interweaving and circling the point where truth and reality enter the realm of illusion. The result is a record which manages to channels the energy of Sun Ra's Arkestra, the spiritual ambience of Alice Coltrane, and the harmonic subtleties of Debussy, whilst ultimately producing something tantalizingly original.

FENTON, GEORGE The United Way OST CD
Five-time Oscar nominated composer George Fenton is comfortably one of today's most prolific and acclaimed British composers, having worked on numerous Ken Loach films including I, Daniel Blake, Hollywood moderns classics like Groundhog Day, and Hitch, and written the iconic TV theme for Newsnight. He is also a lifelong Manchester United fan, leading to his scoring of a new historical documentary, The United Way, which tells the epic story of one of the world's most successful football clubs ever. Fenton's musical underscoring adds gravitas and a sense of spiritual awakening to the film, which begins its journey in the early days of the club, in post-war, industrial Manchester. Recent events have shown that the history and city behind an organization as powerful and global as Manchester United are what matter to people most, and Fenton's inspiring soundtrack to The United Way emphasizes this whilst showcasing the club's core narrative in all its glory.

NECRONOMICON Tips zum Selbstmord LP
2026 restock. 50th anniversary official reissue of this holy grail kraut album from 1972. Real underground heavy-prog/psychedelic hard-rock with raw, in-your-face production, German lyrics, insane acid-fuzz guitar, garage organ and dark, proto-doom atmosphere -- the real deal! Named after the famous Lovecraft book, Necronomicon formed in the German town of Aachen in 1970, first influenced by bands like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Hendrix... In 1972 they entered a small studio in the Dutch border and recorded in just five days a concept album named Tips zum Selbstmord. The title roughly translates as "Tips on how to commit suicide" but the message the band wanted to give had nothing to do with taking your own life but instead with how mankind was facing self-destruction, destroying its own planet by pollution, wars, exploitation and overpopulation. 500 copies of the album were privately pressed by the band, housed in a lavish, cross shaped multi fold-out cover. It was a graphical translation of what they wanted to express musically. Original copies are impossible to find, making it one of the most desirable and sought-after kraut/German albums ever. Here's a long overdue new vinyl reissue. RIYL: Black Sabbath, Amon Düül, Gila, Paternoster, Hawkwind, Gäa, German Oak, Pink Floyd, Hendrix. Faithful reproduction of the original multi-fold-out cross shaped cover; sourced from the original master tapes; insert with detailed liner notes and photos. "... one of the best and most unique German records of the early seventies." --Cosmic Dreams At Play "... Necronomicon has created a dark and powerful vision that blends psychedelic and progressive music with a proto-punk garage band sensibility" --Rolf Semprebon (AllMusic)

SSAN, AHO The Sun Turned Black LP
"Désiré Niamké, known to the avant-garde pantheon as Aho Ssan, stands as a titanic force at the nexus of experimental electronic music, sonic architecture, and contemporary composition. Over the past decade, the Paris-based visionary has dismantled and reconstructed the boundaries of sound, cementing his reputation with seminal works such as the harrowing Simulacrum (Subtext, 2020), the collaborative odyssey Limen with KMRU, and the sprawling, star-studded magnum opus Rhizomes (Other People, 2023), which features the incendiary talents of Moor Mother, Angel Bat Dawid, and clipping. His trajectory is a relentless ascent, marked by command performances at the hallowed halls of Lincoln Center, the Muziekgebouw, and the cutting-edge stages of Atonal Berlin, CTM, and Sonic Acts. His latest masterwork, The Sun Turned Black, is an evocative, visceral exploration of ancestry and atmosphere. Commissioned by the prestigious Maison de la Radio for the Hyperweekend festival, the album germinated from field recordings captured within the vibrant, rhythmic heart of Ghana -- Aho Ssan's ancestral cradle. By daringly exorcising all percussive artifice, the artist constructs a breathtaking sonic tapestry, defined by a transcendent dialogue with the internationally acclaimed violinist ASIA. This project occupies a rarefied, ethereal space where ambient introspection collides with the raw intensity of noise and the intricate precision of electroacoustic composition. Coproduced by the esteemed Subtext Recordings, The Sun Turned Black is not merely an album; it is a monumental, genre-defying statement that echoes through the corridors of modern sound, asserting Aho Ssan's position as a singular, epoch-defining composer."

ELEH Floating Frequencies/Intuitive Synthesis 1 LP
When Eleh's debut Floating Frequencies/Intuitive Synthesis I was originally released it was praised as a powerful piece of new electronic minimalism. Twenty years later the artist's legacy has grown while Eleh continues to hypnotize new listeners with time stopping music. Critics, fans and neurologists have praised the music of Eleh as aiding attention and focus while seeming to slow time. Eleh's slow change drones are a state of flow hypnotizing listeners into meditative focus. From the original packaging: "Pure Sound. Pure Volume. Pure Analog. Dedicated To La Monte Young." Eleh began in 1999 as an exploration of analog synthesis, emphasizing low frequency difference tones and other resonant acoustic phenomena. Eleh highlights the physical presence of sound as it has been inspired by the physical world. There is also something "cathedral-like" and cosmos-inducing in the sound constructed by Eleh. This audiophile quality presentation of Eleh's debut album was mastered by Tom Eaton at Sounds And Substance and manufactured at Optimal in Germany for the lowest possible noise floor and the highest analog resolution. Packaged using a 5th color metallic shimmer ink on solid black board stock.
"Nuances of sound turn symphonic." --New York Times "Eleh's sounds move by stealth and are sculpted from the world rather than from ego. Eleh is not a personality; Eleh is an idea about sound. Eleh forces you to contemplate the cosmos and your place in it." --Gramophone "Eleh demonstrates how a single amplified gesture delivered just so can reveal the inner workings of an entire cosmos." --Tony Herrington/Wire |

JAMES K Random Girl LP
2026 repress. James K debuts on Incienso with sophomore album Random Girl. What's gathered at first is a heterogeneous mixture of intimacy and sore, collected between 2014-2018. As if in a cruel playground game, K breaks a tracklist full of complex soundscapes, voice manipulation, and dazzling shoegaze with a self-built noise box, stethoscope throat-voice and a cellphone recording from a fake tropical island on ecstasy. Consequently, Random Girl is a voice against infantilization of girlhood, a decisive refusal of integrity, fighting what can be understood as the death of expression. Take a sip of water before your memory error blinks. Dial to K. Listen to the disfragmented territory and the cast of it she's making. It might not be what you will have thought tomorrow. Featuring Stefan Maier and Drew McDowall.

NINEY THE OBSERVER Channel One Presents: 100 Tons of Dub LP
2026 repress. The mighty Channel One Studios, Kingston, Jamaica, has its place set in reggae's history. Its distinctive sound the studio created on opening its doors in 1972 to its closure in the early 1980s made it the producers, singers, and musicians studio of choice during this furtive period. Achieving that vibe and clarity, separated it from the other Kingston establishments. Run by the Hookim Family's four sons, Jo Jo the eldest followed by Paulie, Ernest and Kenneth. Their father originally came from China and married a Chinese Jamaican lady and settled in the St Andrews district before moving to Kingston Town itself. The family business was built on jukeboxes and one-armed bandit machines in and around Kingston. A lucrative venture until the gaming laws changed in 1970, outlawing the gaming machines. It was decided to open a studio to make the music to supply their already established Jukebox enterprise. The four brothers opened Channel One Recording Studios in 1972. Initially, the purpose of the studio was for the brothers use only, but this would soon change. Jo Jo would take over the production duties after the initial hiring of Syd Bucknor a producer who had worked closely with Coxonne Dodd's Studio 1 stable. The first release on the Channel One label would be "Don't Give Up The Fight" by Stranger Cole and Gladstone "Gladdy" Anderson. 1977 saw Jo Jo extending his stays in New York to a semipermanent status, returning mainly to oversee recording sessions and then taking the results back to America for worldwide distribution. His brother Paulie senseless killing in that year also added to Jo Jo's decision to spend more time with his Hit Bound Manufacturing set up in New York. The Channel One studio would be upgraded in 1979 to sixteen tracks and although Jo Jo and Ernest still covered the mixing and engineering duties Kenneth would now supervise sessions. An often untold part of Channel One's history is the involvement of producer, Niney The Observer. The mid to late 1970s were heavy times both musically and politically and Maxfield Avenue was in the heart of this crossfire. Niney's fearlessness seen him over running and in many cases running the all-night sessions with his trusted set of musicians loosely called The Soul Syndicate. Jamaican Recordings have selected a bunch of material from Niney's vaults for this release. Some great unreleased rhythms and some different cuts to some tracks you might already know.

2026 repress. LP version. Dennis Brown has always been cited as Jamaica's favorite singer. While Bob Marley set out to conquer the world, Brown's popularity on the island grew with every year. His most prolific period is said to be with producer Niney the Observer, who led the singer down a more roots-oriented avenue and put Brown on some of his heaviest rhythms, which were then mixed by the Dub Master himself, King Tubby. Dubbing at King Tubby's collects tracks from this period, when the Crown Prince of Reggae met Niney the Observer at King Tubby's.

GAF & THE LOVE SUPREME ARKESTRA Retiro Espiritual LP
Following the release of Ganzfeld (KRXN 039LP, 2024), the Tenerife-based octet returns with Retiro Espiritual, their fourth full-length album and the second chapter in an ongoing improvisational document recorded inside one of Santa Cruz de Tenerife's abandoned oil tanks. Gaf & The Love Supreme Arkestra work outside conventional studio frameworks. Their music emerges from extended improvisation sessions that unfold sporadically, sometimes over several days. Built around drums, guitar, bass, modular synthesis and samplers, and expanded with vibraphone and winds (flutes, saxophone, Herreño whistle), the group continues to move between jazz, psychedelic rock and free-form experimental composition. While Ganzfeld drew from the misty northern coast of Isla Baja, Retiro Espiritual turns toward Taganana, one of Tenerife's most remote regions. Its isolation, Atlantic exposure and volcanic terrain inform the record's pace and focus. The title reflects this shift: a space for retreat, collective creation and suspended time. Sonically, Retiro Espiritual leans warmer and more reflective. Flutes drift over slow grooves, extended jams unfold patiently, and traces of '70s spiritual jazz surface throughout. The experimental core remains, now shaped by repetition, space and a calmer, sunlit atmosphere. Another autonomous transmission from a band committed to ritual, territory and long-form collective improvisation at the edge of the Atlantic. Recorded live in 2020 in Tenerife Canary Islands. Produced by Mladen Kurajica. Mixed by Jorge Lozano. Master by Daniel García. Artwork: Felipe González Cabezas.

DANCELWERK Spandauer Damm 103 LP
Keroxen presents Spandauer Damm 103, a new album by Dancelwerk. Bringing together modular systems, worn drum machines and digital synthesis, the record nods directly to the first decade of Warp Records and the early logic of bleep culture. Dancelwerk is a Tenerife-based electronic pioneer and one of the foundational figures of the Canary Islands underground. Active for over 30 years, Spandauer Damm 103 marks both a personal milestone and a renewed point of focus, reaffirming his role in shaping the region's electronic lineage. The album draws on 1990s electronic futurism, filtering those references through a contemporary production approach rather than nostalgia. The music moves between places and periods: from the early rave circuits of southern Tenerife, where Dancelwerk built his reputation through DIY releases and warehouse-level experimentation, to his later relocation to Berlin, famously arriving with a shipping container of vintage synthesizers and modular equipment. Balancing melody and impact, Spandauer Damm 103 sets custom-programmed percussion against detailed sound design. FM, spectral and wavetable synthesis shape its harmonic and textural focus, resulting in music that remains physical without sacrificing clarity. A long-standing practitioner reconnecting with his roots while pushing the system forward.

GUN OUTFIT Early Tapes Vol. 1 LP
"A remaster and first time pressing of the earliest Gun Outfit cassettes, which were produced by the band to sell on their first two national tours in 2009 and 2010, along with some unreleased tracks. The aesthetic at the time was basically an embrace of primitivism. Technical know-how was actively disdained in favor of abject expressionism. The context was the hardcore scene, but it was Olympia, so there was some kind of hermetic awareness that could be read as art. This record shows the side of the band that was least afraid of what people thought. The tapes were for friends, there was no outside audience yet. The Emanation cassette was recorded by four track cassette wizard Adam Croce (from Broken Strings) at Carrie's dad (Chunk's) house during the summer. 'We thought he was insane because he made us do multiple takes.' Reuben Storey of the death metal band Funerot was the drummer and played a role in arranging the songs. The tape had space on it that an LP didn't. The self-titled cassette was recorded in various spots throughout Olympia -- mostly the slummy abandoned office building where every band practiced downtown and was mixed at the double wide where Carrie did work trade shoveling out horse stables for rent, Weeping Willow Ranch. Daniel Swire joined on drums after Reuben slid back into metal world; his style was more subtle. 'The band got weirder and the tape got worked so much it started to bleed through. There was confusion throughout but a pretty consistent focus on the songs, a process that translated as vibe.' Enjoy. Mastered by Tim Green at Louder Studios in early 2026. Pressed on 180g black vinyl with heavy Stoughton 'Tip-On' jackets with a cardstock printed inner sleeve. 500 copies pressed."

LAFAWNDAH The Fifth Season LP
2026 restock. "After a banner year that witnessed Lafawndah release her first album Ancestor Boy, the debut of her soundsystem Fara Fara, and further incursions into film, contemporary art and fashion, the ceaseless artist returns with another plot twist: The Fifth Season. Inspired by her encounter with author NK Jemisin's Broken Earth trilogy, Lafawndah both pays homage to and extends further the elemental, emotionally charged myths of Jemisin's books. These are stories where a broken heart can tear apart a continent. In contrast to the precision-tuned industrial productions of Ancestor Boy, The Fifth Season breathes a different kind of volatility. Inviting a new degree of spontaneity and freedom into her process, Lafawndah's collaborators -- Theon Cross (tuba), Nathaniel Cross (trombone), Valentina Magaletti (percussions), and Nick Weiss (keyboards) -- encircle her confrontational character studies with iridescent, cinematic chamber-bass moves. These are torch songs for when it rains ash, creation ballads for when the earth turns inside out. Ghosts of Art Ensemble of Chicago and Rahsaan Roland Kirk color the air, yet Lafawndah's mastery of pop songcraft, vocal production and razor-honed clarity of purpose cut through. In addition to the Lafawndah originals, The Fifth Season features interpretations of hybrid-folk godfather Beverly Glenn Copeland's 'Don't Despair' and acid-impressionist prodigy Lili Boulanger's 'Old Buddhist Prayer.' Album highlight 'You, at the End' deploys a poem by poet-performer Kae Tempest to aching, rift-tearing ends, and French dream-trap wraith Lala &ce features on 'Le Malentendu'. The Fifth Season anchors Lafawndah as a descendent of forebearers Brigitte Fontaine and Scott Walker -- a born theatric whose acid humor warps the sub-continental undertow of her emotive storytelling. Lafawndah's elementalism on The Fifth Season finds her imagination more agile than ever, and recent live shows have evinced a drive to push these compositions further out, deeper, and more aflame."

COBRAA Cobraa (Bonus Track Edition) CD
"In the early 1970s, the band from Hilden and Düsseldorf (Germany) dropped the name Q 66 and has performed as Cobraa ever since. A demo tape by the band caught the attention of talent scouts at the Cologne-based record label EMI Electrola, who subsequently offered them a record deal. The single 'Ride a Pony' was released as early as 1973, and the album Cobraa followed in 1974. The LP received very good reviews in well-known music magazines, and even the teen magazine BRAVO had words of praise. Critics particularly liked the harmonized vocals, the catchy melodies, and the varied arrangements -- not just drums, bass, and guitars, but also flute, harmonica, and strings. The band members, however, were disappointed with their collaboration with the record label and wrote a letter to the head of EMI, complaining about the lack of support and the lackluster cooperation. After a clarifying meeting with top management, it was agreed to release another single, 'Take A Look At Love.' The record company, however, was unwilling to make any further concessions, so it remained at just one LP release. Over 50 years later, this Cobraa album has achieved cult status among progressive rock and Krautrock fans. ASH RA TEMPEL Schwingungen LP
2026 restock. MG.ART announce the authorized 50th anniversary edition of Ash Ra Tempel's Schwingungen, originally released in 1972. One of the most important German krautrock albums. Re-cut carefully overseen by Manuel Göttsching himself. Gatefold sleeve with sticker; Includes original release sheet and inlay.
Julian Cope's review on Schwingungen in Krautrocksampler (Head Heritage, 1995): "'Beware of Schwingungen!' That should be the large sticker on the front of all copies of this record. For it is dangerous to be casually introduced to something that is life-changing, as I found out to my cost when first listening to this record. It all starts fairly simply and without any cause for alarm -- 'Look at Your Sun' begins with a Doorsy lone groover guitar begins a pedestrian blues, beautiful. Then the most crushed voice, a cross between Johnny Rotten and Tiny Tim, preaches its way into the proceeds. God, it is beautiful -- John L. repeats over and over, 'We are all one, we are all one', until a howling fuzztone solo guitar blows the whole one chord 'Signed D.C.' ringing-cymbals torture to an end. And then the most far out track of all begins. This is called 'Flower Must Die' and it is a free-rock giant that transcends everything else in its field (there are no contenders.) As I've written before, PIL sounds like this. John L. was John Lydon in a previous incarnation. After a slow weird build, a frantic streamlined one-chord mantra kicks in and it's like the Stooges' Funhouse period but in a Righteous Vision Zone that fucks them right off. Phasing tears at the whole tracks as this Holy Racket crosses into hyper-space and everything gets all hyphenated just-for-the-sake-of-it. 'Flowers Must Die', man, it's fucked up. Over on side two, the title-track ('Vibrations') begins poetically enough with Wolfgang Muller's epic and hugely reverbed vibraphone. Organ fades in and FX guitars, and time passes by. Finally, tom-toms roll and the developing pace is built upon until that great eternal chord sequence finally materializes -- this is the one that Göttsching and Enke believed was the sound of heaven. They may have been right. And Schwingungen was a gift from the Gods." |

LOS SAICOS Demolicion: The Complete Recordings LP
2026 repress! LP version with a 12-page full-color booklet with extensive notes and unseen photos. "With only six singles released between 1965 and 1966, and from an apparently remote place such as Lima, Peru, Los Saicos created a raw, wild and visceral sound, the Southern Hemisphere equivalent of the garage rock that was coming out of the U.S. Northwest at the same time. Theirs is the same DNA shared by The Sonics, The Cramps and Black Lips. This release compiles all their recordings and tells their amazing story. This snarling maelstrom of nihilism was cut in Lima when the rest of the world was wetting itself over The Beatles, direct links to both The Stooges and The Cramps here and several more equally-enthralling combos. The latter spawned several generations of individuals who would dig deep to previously (mostly) unheard seams of music and other forms of culture that have since become part of the mainstream fabric. Another strong case of the same kind of happenstance to my mind is that which preceded the much-vaunted 'punk' explosion of the '70s." --Lindsay Hutton

VAN BEBBER, JIM Deadbeat at Dawn Soundtrack LP
"Jim Van Bebber's 1988 psychedelic horror action masterpiece Deadbeat At Dawn soundtrack is now available for the first time ever on vinyl, pressed on 180 gram black vinyl, double sided insert with artwork included. Limited to 500 units. Score composed by Mike Pierry and Ned Folkerth. Deadbeat at Dawn depicts a street gang leader setting out for revenge against a rival street gang, filmed in Dayton, Ohio. Written by, directed by, and starring Van Bebber as gang leader 'Goose.' Nick Pinkerton of Sight & Sound described the film as an 'incredible no-budget mend-and-make ingenuity' that was as 'kinetic, visceral, and palpably dangerous as anything then coming out of Hong Kong.' Jason Buchanan of AllMovie referred to the film as a 'prime example of creativity and enthusiasm picking up where budget and other resources fall short,' calling the film a 'pleasantly surprising mini-masterpiece of gritty urban nightmares. Viewers may initially chuckle at how many times van Bebber's name appears in the credits, attached to virtually every component of the film's production from editing to special effects, but they will come to appreciate the sometimes subtle (and other times less so) creative touches that he lends to the various aspects of the film.' The review concluded that it was 'unclear at times whether the film is aiming to be completely serious and dramatic, or tongue in cheek and over the top, though the answer likely falls somewhere in between.'"

NILSSON, MOLLY Un-American Activities LP
2026 repress; LP version. "Un-American Activities is the 11th Studio album by Molly Nilsson. Written and recorded entirely on location in California at the former home of writer, poet and early opponent of the National Socialist regime in 1930s Germany, Lion Feuchtwanger and his wife Marta. An album of experimentation, genre-mashing and, above it all, Nilsson's instantly recognizable melodic skill and empathy, it continues the songwriter's explorations of power, freedom, oppression and its opposing force, a love unbound. After accepting an artist residency as part of the Villa Aurora program, Nilsson began work crafting a new album from scratch in a new environment, afforded the freedom, space and time to challenge her practice and take her music into new territory. The resulting work, Un-American Activities, is a love note not only to the artist who was among the very first to be declared an 'enemy of the state' by the Nazi regime but also to both the eternal struggle he fought and the human spirit that pervades all of Nilsson's best work. It is also a double-pointed poison pen letter: a critique of the new forms of oppression wielded by her temporary adopted country of the USA but also an acknowledgement of the promise it always offers but never fulfills. Along with the novel use of color and photography in the artwork for Un-American Activities, there are swathes of new techniques, genres and timbres new to Molly Nilsson's music in evidence, 16 years into her music career. While Un-American Activities finds Nilsson experimenting, creating instinctive music on a first-thought-best-thought basis there are still 'classic' Molly moments liberally spread throughout. 'Excalibur' feels like the Molly of old, an absolute star of a chorus refrain smudged with the vaseline of fuzz and hope, 'Red Telephone' is wide-eyed, slathered in reverb and chorus effects, distorted with soaring melody, a heart-tugger that tugs the body upwards to the heavens with each evolving wave. Glistening digital tones wash through the album, providing a Y2K etherealness to Nilsson's audacious Stars and Stripes reference to 'Wetcheeks.' Perhaps the album's standout, however, is 'Palestine (Somewhere Over The Rainbow),' which is suffuse with empathy, solidarity and, in referencing the classic socialist-penned canon song from The Wizard Of Oz, speaks directly to the tradition of fighting oppression with full hearts of hope."

NILSSON, MOLLY Amateur LP
LP version. "Amateur is the 12th studio album by Molly Nilsson. Deep in the teeth of a career that threatens to tip into something resembling a 'legacy,' Nilsson celebrates with an album recorded instinctively, quickly and bursting with so many moments of emotional brilliance and clarity it may be her greatest yet. Hers has been a career spent reaching out, perennially powerful in her earnestness, a warrior ridiculously defenseless and armed with a glittering sincerity. Shearing herself of the machinations of the music industry, recording at home, writing direct to the heart. Amateur is a jubilee for losers. A treatise in thirteen songs, it states clearly that one should live their life with eternal curiosity, offering one an open hand of comradeship out of the rat race. The songs on the album are both some of the most personal of Nilsson's career and the most anthemic. First single 'How Much Is The World' asks to re-evaluate value in the face of a neoliberal system squeezing the life out of love. Pulsing opener 'Die Cry Lie' satirizes the commercialization of emotion in the form of a shout-along diss-track. With a pounding rhythm track held down by gorgeous chord changes, heartbreaker 'Valhalla' carries the torch for the main themes of the album: never growing up, making mistakes with kindness, moving on. There are moments on Amateur shrouded in reverb, slightly out of focus, forcing the listener to step deeper into the Mollyverse. Nilsson's open-armed beseeching to the world permeates every beat, every chord. These are songs exploding with life: the chunky, aggressive bassline on the punker 'Get A Life' can't hide its massive, catchy chorus. The sweeping 'Swedish Nightmare' might be a tongue-in-cheek self-reference, but at its heart it's a song about the duality of living life large -- what is a dream, what is a nightmare? Molly Nilsson says you can't have one without the other, and why would you want to? Here's to making mistakes."

CHRISTOPHER Christopher LP
2026 repress. Out-Sider present a reissue of Christopher's self-titled album, originally released in 1970. The only fully-authorized vinyl reissue of Christopher in the current market. Christopher were an underground acid rock trio featuring future Josefus drummer, Doug Tull. They evolved from United Gas, a psychedelic band from Houston who rubbed shoulders with legends like The 13th Floor Elevators and Moving Sidewalks. After relocating to Los Angeles -- where they changed his name to Christopher -- they played at numerous biker parties and recorded their sole album in 1970 for the Metromedia label. It's an amazing example of West Coast psychedelia/acid-rock featuring strong fuzz-wah guitar, great compositions and superb musicianship. It was housed in a terrific cover depicting the band at the same hippie crash-pad where some scenes from the The Trip movie was filmed. One of the holy grails of American psychedelic-rock and the rarest album originally released by the collectable Metromedia label. Remastered sound. Original artwork. Includes insert with liner notes. "One of the better LPs in the crowded sub-genre of proto-heavy west coast hippie rock, with mid-period Airplane and Cream the obvious influences. The lyrics are memorable strange" --Patrick Lundborg (Acid Archives). "A great 'lost' album from the USA underground, one that grows and grows with repeated listens. Lots of vibrato guitar riffs and creepy vocals a la Frumious Bandersnatch or Framework" --Clark Faville. Hard cardboard sleeve; obi.

SPALARNIA Tajemnica LP
Tajemnica is a transgression -- too gentle for dancing, too euphoric for standing still. Sparse, scarce, and subtle, the new album by Polish performance artist, musician, and poet Wojciech Kosma, aka spalarnia, eagerly explores modern dance genres, experimental production, and nostalgic electronics to surrender to what is truest -- essential song forms, melodies, harmonic and rhythmic basics, the most resonant feelings. Sung in spalarnia's trademark soft, low, almost tactile voice, the eight hypnotic songs tell stories of closeness and love, and their favored companions -- pain and heartbreak. In "Bliżej" he sings "I love not loving you/I want to be a part of you." And in "Jedyna" he states: "You are the only one/there is no other me/only the one for whom you are the only one." Contrary to the meaning of its Polish title ("Tajemnica" translates to "secret"), the album that moves between ghostly ambient pop, languid RnB, and Eastern European folk doesn't reveal anything outright -- the music only points to where the secrets might lie. One can choose whether to hear them or not.

CONNORS & DAVID GRUBBS, LOREN Somewhere In The Wind LP
A note from David Grubbs: "Somewhere in the Wind is the third record that Loren Connors and I have made together. Of the three, it's the first that consists exclusively of electric guitar duos and it's the first that was recorded live. To me it feels very much like a live record; this music happened in crowded rooms in Brooklyn on two dates in 2025 and there's an urgency to connect with others and a pleasure in doing so that can be heard on both of these tracks. On the first of our duo records (Arborvitae, 2003) I primarily play piano, and on the second (Evening Air, 2024) we switch off on piano and guitar. Both of those albums bespeak the privacy of the recording studio, where time is suspended and one can explore the quietest of sounds. By contrast, Somewhere in the Wind is the noisiest, most raucous and most free of our duo records. It's the sound of us taking it to the stage. I became a fan of Loren's playing from the moment that I first heard it, after happening upon a beat-up copy of In Pittsburgh circa 1992 in a used bin in the Dr. Wax record store in Chicago where my then-bandmate Bundy K. Brown worked. Everyone has taken a chance on a record because it looked interesting and wouldn't set you back too much. In that regard In Pittsburgh was the find of a lifetime. I had just switched from playing in a postpunk power trio (Bastro) to making mostly drummerless respect-your-neighbors music (Gastr del Sol), and Loren's pacing and touch and his lovely, unaffected compositions had me from the first listen. Not long after that, Jim O'Rourke and I reissued In Pittsburgh on our Dexter's Cigar label, and I fondly remember first meeting Loren in New York's Grand Central Station -- so glamorous for this country mouse -- and taking the train upstate with him where he shared a bill with Gastr del Sol. During soundcheck, Jim, Loren, and I played together for a bit and Loren's approach to the instrument was something that one could instantly sink into, the kind of situation where there are no mistakes. I still feel that when we play together."

HUSEYIN, ANTHONY O Geliyor (Making O) LP
Anthony Hüseyin presents their new album O Geliyor (Making O), in which they return to the rediscovery of their gender, their childhood, and their attachment to Zeki Müren. Müren is widely regarded as the most important queer exponent in the history of Turkish Art Music (Türk Sanat Müzigi). This genre of music was open to musical hybridism, and Müren himself also included elements of jazz and pop music. Stylistically, O Geliyor (Making O) is a combination of contemporary discoid electro-pop music, based on Turkish Art Music by Zeki Müren. After successful current re-interpretations of Turkish music styles like neo-Anatolian pop and neo-Arabesk, this album provides a first take on neo-Turkish Art Music. The album title is referring to the third genderless person pronoun in Turkish called "O," which encompasses all gender possibilities in one word. The album reflects on the memories that haunt people and the indescribable wounds of displacement. Set against the backdrop of Berlin, home to many immigrants and political and queer refugees, it exposes the profound emptiness in a metropolis wishing to imagine itself as a safe haven for the free-spirited, yet always reminding the Other that they don't belong. At the same time, it delivers anthems for the displaced, for the queer migrants who traverse internal and external landscapes in search of a place called home. Anthony Hüseyin is a non-binary musician and performance artist of Kurdish-Turkish and Arabic descent who works with voice, text, film, dance, and installation. Raised in Urfa in Southeastern Turkey, where they learned traditional local music, they went on to study both classical and jazz singing in Istanbul and Rotterdam. Their works combine the personal and political to explore memory, identity, community, collective consciousness, and the body.

"Siltbreeze is proud to once again release a critical, unearthed treasure pertaining to the legendary Christchurch, NZ scene, pre-Flying Nun. Much like the The Spies The Battle Of Bosworth Terrace LP (2013), this archival collection of tracks titled An Afternoon With Victor Dimisich has never before been released and its historical significance cannot be overestimated. These songs were captured in demo form primarily to flesh out the threadbare Pin Group repertoire in early 1981. These songs were captured in pared back form because certain people felt that some very tender Cogle/Stapleton works were being lost in VDB steamroller mode. These songs were captured in rough form because four men in their twenties had a spare afternoon, a crate of beer that needed drinking, and a soft spot for dark ballads. All of the above. One time pressing, amazing timestamp insert included."

VANESSA VAN BASTEN Yes (Color Vinyl) LP
Color vinyl version. Vanessa Van Basten (neither a Dutch singer nor the wife of a famous football player) was born in Genoa, Italy, in 2004 as a one-man band. Founded by Morgan Bellini, a DJ at the time, Vanessa was immediately acclaimed by critics since the release of the first self-titled demo. A cinematic mix of post-rock, sludge metal and shoegaze: quite a new sound within the Italian underground scene in that period. Several labels are interested in producing the band, that seemed to have developed its own style, more focused on the general atmosphere than on brute strength. When permanent drummer Roberto Della Rocca also joined the band, the trio released Psygnosis EP via Consouling Sounds and started playing live quite intensely until 2010, when Bellini moved to Austria and declared the band was again a studio project only. In the same year, Vanessa signed for American label Robotic Empire and released Closer to the Small/Dark/Door, their second album. This full length contains shorter tracks and is influenced also by Morricone and by 4AD '80 albums. To everyone's surprise, in 2023 Bellini reunited the original Vanessa Van Basten lineup and began recording a new album, Yes, to be released by Italian label Subsound Records. The band members consider this album a great return to their early style. Even if Vanessa Van Basten never pushed on promotion or social networks and with less than a hundred live shows in the mid '00, it has always been critically acclaimed, it is considered a cult band and it has unsuspected admirers, as Randy Blithe of Lamb of God (who said they're "geniuses").

BRYANT, TRACY The Well LP
Los Angeles singer-songwriter Tracy Bryant returns with his new album The Well, which is his first release since 2019's critically acclaimed Hush. His fourth solo album, The Well marks a striking new chapter, trading his signature guitar-driven sound for piano-led songwriting that took root during the pandemic. The album was born out of one of the most turbulent periods of his life, written in the wake of his father's sudden passing and birth of his first child. It was produced by longtime friend and compatriot Joo-Joo Ashworth at Studio 22 in Cypress Park, CA, and mastered by Dave Cooley at Elysian Masters. The nine songs are filled with raw emotion and driving motorik rhythm, telling tales of loss and love, relationships beginning and ending. When the pandemic upended Bryant's promotion for Hush and brought his 2019 European tour to a halt, he found himself at home rediscovering his musical roots at the piano, listening to Vince Guaraldi and Arthur Russell to take inspiration for the song structures. Without a band around, Bryant used the instrument to create both rhythm and melody, which resulted in a repetitive and precise backbeat, which was elevated when he began working with drummer Carmeron Gartung to rehearse the new songs. This different approach would define the style of The Well, creating an amalgamation of sounds with classic songwriting structures blended with post-punk, '90s indie, krautrock and psychedelia. The nine songs take the listener on a meticulously crafted journey through the nooks and crannies of Bryant's mind. Spanning 37 minutes, the album is an exploration of classic songwriting elements moving fluidly between driving beat punk, like "Weight" and "Widow," and more melancholic tracks like "Halfway" and "Danny." Album opener "Cold Floor" sets the tone immediately, Bryant's lyrics confronting the day of his father's death with unflinching directness -- the breezy California piano sound is in direct contrast to the heavy theme. The Bowie-esque title track is perhaps the album's most expansive moment -- a fully realized epic composed with a dynamic flare. The Well feels like an arrival. Dramatic and expansive, it is a true, visceral reflection of the life changing events that altered the course of Bryant's life. Fans will be surprised by the heavy focus on piano but they will welcome the change as a bold turning point for an artist who has lived long enough to know exactly what he wants to say.

"Four years near the beginning of the last decade, William Cashion and Bruce Willen created quietly radiant instrumental music from two tessellated guitars, a few modest synths, and a slew of percussive and noisy toys, like walkie-talkies or the things that gave the pair their handle, bells. This 2016 live recording is taken from the band's next-to-last show, at least for now, cut in an artist-run space called The Compound in their hometown of Baltimore. Peals is the project of two bassists known best for their other livewire and loud Baltimore bands: Future Islands for Cashion, Double Dagger for Willen. Technically, Double Dagger -- an absolutely electrifying post-punk trio -- had reached its end just as Cashion and Willen began talking about trying to make music together, but that context never really mattered. Peals emerged at an inconvenient moment for their sort of instrumental wonder. The noisy international explorations of great acts like Yellow Swans, Growing, and Fuck Buttons (all duos, mind you) had mostly subsided before Peals played their first show in April 2012. And the current bloom in New Age and ambient music was very much still germinating, those terms still catching substantial side-eye from arbiters of acceptability. That was steadily changing, however, as Peals offered this set in September 2016, with the United States unknowingly at the edge of successive upheavals that would increasingly make such sounds feel like requisite medicine. Writing to you from 2026, then, this recording does not feel at all out-of-time, like some overlooked gem that was simply swallowed by its moment. It sounds relevant, welcoming, welcome. These 38 seamless minutes have clear predecessors: Manuel Göttsching's E2-E4, Cluster and Eno's Cologne dalliances, the way Midwest emo could sound smarter than its lyrics read. I hear bits of old spirituals and Appalachian banjo music, too, nested inside the guitars. But the way Cashion and Willen stitched it all together ignored any rules of what this music was supposed to be, so that very gentle passages abutted joyously jarring ones, so that the saxophone line that unexpectedly offers the denouement here feels as though it were birthed by a symphony of chattering guitars. It's a sound meant for you to inhabit, to take a walk around, to notice." -- Grayson Haver Currin

BODY, THE Master, We Perish CD
"Master, We Perish's deluxe reissue is newly remastered and expanded. The Body's landmark record Master, We Perish, originally released in 2013, found the acclaimed duo at a crossroads in their career. Recorded just before the duo of drummer Lee Buford and guitarist/vocalist Chip King were leaving their longtime home of Providence for Portland and released in between their breakthrough albums All the Waters of the Earth Turn to Blood and Christs, Redeemers, Master expanded on the duo's love of layered worldbuilding with more precision and a stronger emphasis on percussive samples than ever before. The seeds of the duo's celebrated collaborative inclination are evident as the album features Assembly of Light Choir leader Chrissy Wolpert, choir member Reba Mitchell, Otesanek vocalist Leslie Weitz, and guitarist David Lifrieri. With the expanded edition, the album's striking cover painting by Providence mainstay Manifester aka Matt Brinkman (Mindflayer, Forcefield) is finally rendered in its original form. Master, We Perish is expanded with rare bonus tracks from The Body's early days, taken from a pair of rare 7" singles 'Cop Killer/Dead Cops' as well as a split with Get Killed. These storied singles mark the first time the band truly pushed the boundaries of sound in the studio and on record. It also marks the beginning of The Body's practice of wielding the studio as a veritable weapon to translate their gargantuan sound with deeper impact on LP. The results are not only pushing the capacity of the album format but are sonically riveting. The bonus material was recorded at Machines with Magnets."
"Master, We Perish lashes at perceived and much-debated divisions between metal and noise so hard and so fast that its tremendous squall and anthemic structures might actually be the sound of those fortified seams splintering -- every bit as exhilarating and intimidating as you might hope" --Pitchfork |

AKUSMI Terra Incognita CD
"Cartographers and US multinational technology corporations might think they've mapped out most of the planet, and yet there's always more to discover if you know where to look. French-born, London-based composer and musician Pascal Bideau takes this as his central premise on a new album of intrepid sonic exploration that delights in the sensation of being somewhere you've never been before. Terra Incognita invites listeners to seven faraway sonic imaginariums fusing global and spiritual jazz with life affirming minimalism into a hypnotic, polyrhythmic odyssey. This time, the albums' sound palette is more vibrant, earthy and abundant, drawing inspiration from the radiating optimism and high-energy sources heard in Afrobeat, highlife and electronic Afro-pop music, sounding looser, free and primarily interested in raw sensations. Terra Incognita is a hybrid blend of traditional music and modern electronics, a trip into the unknown that ambulates freely, taking pleasure in its repetitions and never staying still. Bideau suggests this unmarked territory could be as much a fantasyland as it is a transportive journey into the inner self. In an era where the concept of nation states and their need to be protected has come to dominate the political discourse, Terra Incognita embraces adventure without borders, seeking out the unexplored territory of the title, breathlessly beholding vistas and pirouetting to take in boundless panoramas. Bideau is not the only musician on Terra Incognita. There's the Indian-born tabla virtuoso Sarathy Korwar who adds an almost drum and bass-like kineticism to 'Rain Dance', Dudú Kouate, the celebrated Senegalese musician adds an array of percussions, ngoni, flutes throughout with a spirited multi-octave vocal to give a climatic end to the album on 'Dawning Dusk'. Levitation Orchestra's Marysia Osu alongside Lluís Domènech Plana respectively bring harp and flutes whilst pulsing electronics are provided on 'Anima' by longtime collaborator Daniel Brandt. Ecstatic improvisations were overlaid with an array of instruments at his disposal, many from around the world, from Africa to South East Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, gathered from his own travels or brought back by family and friends. Pascal plays flutes, clarinet, guitars, bass, mbira, balafon, dutars, marimbas, zither, adungu and many other percussions."

BROWN & KAPOTE, ARPY Memento Ludi LP
Toy Tonics presents Memento Ludi, the first collaborative album by label founder Kapote and multi-instrumentalist producer Arpy Brown. The album is a funk-driven journey that bridges the warmth of 1970s analog recordings with the pulse of contemporary dance music. Blending neo-soul grooves, yacht rock harmonies and modern house rhythms, Memento Ludi captures the spirit of classic musicianship within a forward-looking club context. But Memento Ludi is more than a typical house record. The album moves fluidly between dancefloor tracks and fully developed songs. Every instrument was performed live by the artists themselves: guitars, bass, keyboards and percussion recorded in the studio by Arpy and Kapote. After jamming and recording the basis of every song in a live procedure they carefully resample the parts to create the organic, human touch that defines the Toy Tonics sound. The title Memento Ludi -- Latin for "remember to play" -- reflects the album's philosophy: bringing joy, spontaneity and musicality back into dance music at a time when many club tracks feel increasingly mechanical and formulaic. The collaboration arrives during a particularly busy moment for both artists. While spending countless hours in the studio, Kapote and Arpy Brown have also maintained intensive international touring schedules with the Toy Tonics crew, road-testing many of the tracks as "secret weapons" in their DJ sets from Melbourne to Los Angeles via their homebase Berlin.

CQ WRESTLING Resistance CD
CQ Wrestling present their sophomore album Resistance. There's a saying that simmers beneath the sonic assault of Resistance: "Nothing changes if nothing changes," recites Jake Mac, who knew of this idiom before 2024; before the loss that turned his and bandmate Charlie Woods' worlds upside down; before the "year of complete mayhem, mess and chaos" that followed. From the outside looking in, the Brighton-based duo may have seemed on the top of the world. Then known as Chappaqua Wrestling, the exhilarating energy of their debut album Plus Ultra had seen the band lauded as future British music scene conquerors. The pair had a major label record deal to their name. Sweat dripped from the walls at headline show after headline show, in front of rapturous fans -- and yet something felt amiss. Amid the mourning emerged a desire to transform. Resistance is an album forged in the embers of personal tragedy and hammered into shape by desire, resilience and resolve.

EARTHBALL Actual Earth Music: Volume 3 & 4 CD
EarthBall are an avant/noise/rock wrecking ball of a band from Nanaimo, Canada. Rooted in total improvisation, free expression, and a deeply psychedelic sensibility, EarthBall operate on pure instinct. They hurtle onwards in a combustion of spontaneous composition, shooting from the hip, as they fall out of the sky ablaze. The group encompasses Isabel Ford (vocals, bass), John Brennan (drums, percussion), Jeremy Van Wyke (vocals, guitar, trumpet), Kellan Maclaughlin (guitar, talkbox), and Liam Murphy (saxophone). Each member brings a rich and varied musical history, with past and present projects including Shearing Pinx, Plan Your Future, Kamikaze Nurse, Eschatons, and Psychedelic Dirt. Collectively and individually, they have collaborated with artists such as Deerhoof, Raven Chacon, Chris Corsano, and William Hooker, deepening the band's exploratory reach and collective language. Since forming in 2021, EarthBall have released six cassettes and three fervently received LPs on Upset The Rhythm, including the widely-acclaimed Outside Over There. Their latest release, Actual Earth Music: Volume 3 & 4, follows the first instalment in the series and captures two mind-quaking highlights from their European tour. This is EarthBall plunging to full fathom five, transforming into something rich and strange -- channeling the fleeting moment as it fractures, erupts, and dissolves into the unknown. Side A captures a thumping performance at Cave12 in Geneva. Frazzled from a white-knuckle alpine descent, the group settles into a hypnotic sprawl, stretching time and form across a colossal 53-minute set. The Cave12 recording is a study in tension and release; ruminative, volatile, and barely contained. Drums stumble and surge, saxophone howls cut through the air, and Ford and Van Wyke's voices briefly pull together the circle twice, before the tumult lapses into a spinning maelstrom. Side B meanwhile presents a scorched excerpt from EarthBall's crushing performance at Le Guess Who? Festival. Actual Earth Music: Volume 3 & 4 marks another ascent in EarthBall's ever-expanding, totemic discography, an ecstatic storm of raw immediacy and unfiltered expression.

GOVERNMENT ALPHA The Human Race Was Restored To Life Repeatedly LP
Government Alpha, the project of Yasutoshi Yoshida, is one of the central figures in Japanese harsh noise, emerging from Tokyo's early 1990s underground scene. Through his Xerxes label, he developed a style that is both extreme and meticulously constructed, balancing ferocity and precision with remarkable control. Even at its most chaotic, every sonic eruption feels carefully placed. Originally released on cassette in 1994, The Human Race Was Restored To Life Repeatedly captures a pivotal stage in Yoshida's artistic development. At this point, he was still refining his unique musical language. The album is raw, unstable, and charged with experimental energy, yet it already reveals the defining characteristics of his later work. These recordings reflect a deeply physical, hands-on approach to sound creation. Worn electronics, manipulated tapes, feedback, and metallic objects become sonic material, each noise bent, reshaped, and reassembled into new forms. It is harsh noise in a state of constant transformation, still free from rigid conventions. The album moves through continuous walls of distortion and corrosive frequencies. Beneath its abrasive surface lies a wealth of detail, pulse, and texture, where chaos is organized into shifting, layered structures. It is precisely this balance between violence and composition that defines Yoshida's work. This new vinyl edition, remastered by Lasse Marhaug, marks the first time the album appears on vinyl, bringing out every nuance of the original recording. The sound retains its rawness while gaining depth, clarity, and spatial presence. Today, the album stands as a landmark of harsh noise history, a vital work that transforms sonic destruction into musical architecture. Recorded at F23 Studio Tokyo, January 16-29 1994. Mixed by Yasutoshi Yoshida on January 30, 1994.

MERZBOW Yoshinotsune 2LP
Between 1999 and 2000, Merzbow entered a new artistic phase, embracing digital production and refining his sonic language. He moved away from the tape collages and improvised circuitry of his earlier years. In their place arose monumental sound structures, dense and meticulously sculpted. Harsh noise, tribal rhythms, and corrosive textures merged into a single, overwhelming sonic body. Yoshinotsune emerged during this especially fertile period and stands as one of Masami Akita's most evocative works. The album weaves together historical, mythological, and personal references, drawing inspiration from the figure of Minamoto no Yoshitsune. From the outset, bird calls, radio interference, and electronic signals create an enigmatic atmosphere. The result is an unsettling soundscape suspended between nature and technology. Throughout the album, the sound continually transforms, alternating between ominous beats, unearthly moans, and ritualistic pulses. These elements evoke tribal rhythms filtered through circuitry and digital distortion. The music drives forward with relentless force while maintaining a constant tension between motion and stillness. Rather than simply overwhelming, it invites the listener to become immersed in its intricate details. This new double-vinyl edition, mastered by Lasse Marhaug and limited to just 199 copies, greatly expands the original experience. The three tracks from the CD are spread across four sides, with the addition of two previously unreleased pieces. This format highlights the depth of the low end, the nuances of the digital processing, and even the acoustic guitar passages. As a result, the work gains a broader, more tactile, and more detailed physical presence. What makes Yoshinotsune so compelling is its perfect balance between technical precision and creative instinct. Though meticulously constructed, its structures retain a raw and immediate vitality. Akita's hand can always be felt, shaping the sound with intensity and sensitivity. This reissue fully restores the grandeur of one of Merzbow's richest and most immersive recordings, now expanded with two bonus tracks.

SOLMANIA H-A-D-A-Y-R-O LP
Originally released on cassette in 1985, H·A·D·A·Y·R·O is a landmark of Japanese noise music. It documents the early vision of Solmania and the singular sonic approach of Masahiko Ohno. For years, it remained a cult artifact among collectors and underground enthusiasts. This vinyl edition renews its impact, feeling more like a rebirth than a simple reissue. Solmania was far more than a band; it was Masahiko Ohno's personal sound laboratory. At the heart of the album are his self-built guitars, transformed into extraordinary sound-generating machines. Their tones scrape, roar, and vibrate with an almost organic intensity. Alongside these, Ohno also employs tape, radio, turntable, and voice -- expanding the palette into a raw, multi-source field of sound, with drums and keyboard performed by Tomioka Akira. The album constructs noise as a complex, layered architecture. Distortion, feedback, metallic harmonics, and electrical abrasion intertwine into dense, evolving structures. Despite its industrial harshness, the sound remains deeply human. Every vibration carries the mark of touch, pressure, and spontaneous improvisation. Here, noise is not simply about volume or aggression, but about exploring texture, repetition, and transformation. The music exists in a thrilling balance between construction and controlled collapse. Its hypnotic passages take on an almost ritualistic, sculptural quality. Each moment seems poised to mutate into something new. The vinyl format fully reveals the richness of this work. Low-end resonance, harmonic detail, and the interplay between feedback and silence emerge with renewed clarity. More than a historical artifact, this reissue presents H·A·D·A·Y·R·O as a living, vital work. It remains a radical example of uncompromising creativity and sonic innovation.

VA Cumbia Cumbia Cumbia!!! Vol.2 2LP
2026 repress. A selection of 28 Colombian cumbia bangers for the dance floor from the deep vaults of Codiscos and associated labels Costeño, Zeida and Famoso, all of them originally released between 1962 and 1983. Cumbia Cumbia Cumbia!!! combines well-known classics and rarities that are difficult to find in their original formats. An invitation to enjoy and be amazed, above and beyond ethnographic and academic concerns. The historical origins of cumbia in Colombia are nebulous and imprecise. The mythology surrounding it suggests an ancient past when Amerindian, African and European musical sounds were mixed together. The main record companies in Colombia such as Discos Fuentes, Discos Tropical, Sonolux, Zeida-Codiscos, Silver, Ondina, Discos Atlantic, Vergara and Curro were created between Barranquilla, Medellín, Cartagena and Bogotá from 1936 to 1954. All of them, without exception, recorded Colombian tropical music that over the years was given different names such as porro, gaita, fandango, paseaito, merecumbé, mapalé, bullerengue or, of course, cumbia. After digging deep into the overwhelming archive of Discos Fuentes in the previous volume, this second instalment in the series Cumbia Cumbia Cumbia!!! comprises 28 Colombian cumbia bangers for the dance floor from the deep vaults of Codiscos and associated labels Costeño, Zeida and Famoso, all of them originally released between 1962 and 1983. Legally established on July 1, 1950, Zeida (later Codiscos) was one of the companies that consolidated Medellín as the epicenter of the Colombian recording industry in the central decade of the last century. Cumbia Cumbia Cumbia!!! combines well-known classics and rarities that are difficult to find in their original formats. An invitation to enjoy and be amazed, above and beyond ethnographic and academic concerns. Featuring Los Hermanos Martelo, Los Trotamundos, Antonio León Y Su Conjunto, Antolín Y Su Combo Orense, Francisco Zapata, Crescencio Salcedo, Sonidos De Gamero, Los Teen Agers, Miguel Villalba Y Su Conjunto, Calixto Ochoa, Alfredo Gutiérrez Y Los Caporales Del Magdalena, El Michi Y Su Combo Bravo, Los Graduados, Gabriel Mesa, Adolfo Pacheco Y Su Conjunto, El Conjunto Miramar, El Combo Cienaguero, La Sonora Universitaria, Orquesta De Marcial Marchena, Rita Fernández, Jaime Llano González, Los Arko, Aniceto Molina Y Su Conjunto, Los Bobby Soxers, Catalino Y Su Combo Negro, La Cumbia Moderna De Soledad, Alejandro Bernal, and Grupo La Droga.

NURSE WITH WOUND On the Edge of the Outside LP
Vasopressin presents On the Edge of the Outside, collecting four works by Nurse With Wound -- three composed in response to texts by Kafka, Tzara, and Forneret, one previously unreleased -- on vinyl for the first time. Electroacoustic abstraction, minimalist drones, and grimy ambience. Vasopressin's second installment of their dedicated series bringing Nurse With Wound's contemporary output to vinyl -- and it is, if anything, even more extraordinary than what came before. On the Edge of the Outside gathers three works previously issued as 3" CDs alongside literary editions published by the French imprint Lenka Lente, each "conceived in intimate response to literary texts -- yet entirely self-sufficient as autonomous sonic experiences": "Kafka's Parachute" (2017), composed in dialogue with Franz Kafka's "Rapport à une Académie"; "On the Edge of the Outside" (2020), drawn from Tristan Tzara's "Minuits pour Géants"; and "We Are the Dead Men" (2025), accompanying Xavier Forneret's "Le Diamant de l'Herb". To these is added "None and a Star Stand (Untitled Lament)", a piece whose origins remain close to the same Lenka lente orbit -- appearing here, as does the entire collection, in its vinyl debut. Across two sides, the record maps a vast and quietly staggering emotional and sonic terrain. "Kafka's Parachute" opens proceedings with howling recitations and a knotted palette of electroacoustic abstraction, channeling something close to concrete poetry in its most visceral, unsettling form. The second side then opens with "None And A Star Stand" -- a breath of grimy, luminous release -- eleven minutes of shifting textures that feel restless and alive without ever resolving into event, before "We Are The Dead Men" descends deeper still, unfurling at glacial pace through overlapping drones and harmonics of rare, disquieting beauty. The closing title track moves from ripping feedback through swirling resonances and sparse piano tones before dissolving back into abrasion, completing a journey that feels as much literary as sonic. Featuring Steven Stapleton alongside collaborators Colin Potter, Andrew Liles, Matt Waldron, James Worse, and Quentin Rollet, On the Edge of the Outside stands as proof that after nearly five decades, Nurse With Wound remains one of the few forces in music genuinely capable of making the world sound like somewhere you have never been before. Issued by Vasopressin, the Milan-based label founded by Matteo Moschettoni. Black vinyl.

VILDANOV, RUMIL Kino Variants 1967-1986 2LP
Von present Kino Variants 1967-1986, the first-ever collection to illuminate the vast body of work created by the Uzbek composer Rumil Vildanov during the second half of the 20th century. Offering a rare glimpse of liberated creative spirit operating behind the Iron Curtain, this engrossing double-LP provides an unprecedented immersion into the work of one of the most celebrated composers from Uzbekistan, often described as the "Ennio Morricone of Central Asia". Comprising a startling range of electronic and electroacoustic experiments, evocative chamber works and orchestral works, and more discrete instrumental efforts -- all created to accompany moving image -- totaling an incredible 82 pieces in total, this remarkable sonic journey into Vildanov's inner world and towering talents. Beginning in 1964, when he was first asked by the director, Elyor Ishmuhamedov, to compose the music for one of his films, Vildanov became "obsessed with making music for cinema" and remained deeply connected to the field for the rest of his life -- collaborating with prominent filmmakers, including Eldor Urazbaev, Ali Khamraev, and Shukhrat Abbasov. It is Vildanov's sonic contributions to film, around which Kino Variants 1967-1986 narrows its focus, illuminating the composer's striking range and diverse touchstones. The collection begins with 29 "Abstract Variations" of various durations, rendered on a range of instruments -- synthesizer, harp, harpsichord, and timpani, among numerous others -- in solo and multi-instrumental combinations, utilizing both purely acoustic and electroacoustic approaches. The second side of the collection offers an immersion into Vildanov's "Orchestral Variations", which move between constrained and encompassing scales of instrumental combination. Retaining a strong sense of cohesive vision within their diversity, Vildanov elegantly moves between the use of avant-garde tonal dissonance and lush melodic sensibilities. The second LP of Kino Variants 1967-1986 is dedicated to two thematic groupings, "Rubab Variations" and "Titles Variations". The first stands among the most culturally revealing bodies of work in the collection; centering the focus upon Vildanov's compositions for the rubab, a lute-like stringed instrument played in parts of Central and South Asia. "Titles Variations", the collection's fourth and final side, comprises 19 pieces that expand and further illuminate the range of Vildanov's musical explorations, the majority of which date from the final decade of the composer's life. Printed inner sleeves; edition of 300.
