Splinter Test is Genesis P-Orridge and Larry Thrasher with Fred Gianelli, William Breeze, Michael Campagna and Billy Goodrum.

Overall impression: blah. Yet another albums worth of experimental and/or minimal sound and voice meanderings by Genesis P-Orridge and friends. The music is for the most part boring, with even more boring and senseless GPO spoken dribble on top of it just to annoy the hell out of you. Kind of a cross between the acid era PTV and the minimal acoustic/electric sound of PTV's "Trip Reset", but not as good. There's a few moments here and there that are interesting, but overall it's just not interesting. Track 1 is my favorite (and the reason I bought the cd), it's the full version of "... Family L-O-V-E" that's also on the excellent Invisible Records "Drug Test 2" compilation. I'll take "Hex Sex" or "Trip Reset" over this disc anyday. The cover collage by GPO is cool, the cd insert on the other hand is a 4 page foldout full of bizarre Transmedia Foundation propaganda.
