Overall impression: sucks. Cleopatra is living up to it's tarnished standard of hundreds of shitty, cheesy compilations and tribute cds with this disc. To begin with, the concept of having a bunch of shitty bands covering one of the greats is just plain silly and unnecessary. Most of this disc is cyber-electronica-cheese or metal puppy with horrid vox on top. The only interesting tracks, in my opinion, are by Leather Strip, Download and DVOA. But, none of these warrant a purchase, the Leather Strip is good, the Download is almost exactly the same as the original and the DVOA bears little to no resemblance to the original and isn't really that interesting. Bottomline: just listen to the originals! The only purpose for this cd is to make money for Cleo ... that's it. Don't buy it.
