Overall impression: good. This is the first "official" LPD video, a multi digital camera, pro-shot live document of the September 13, 1997 "Hallway" show at La Luna in Portland, OR, USA. A pretty nice piece of work in my opinion, the cameras catch all of the band members in action throughout:  Edward's spoken tales, beckonings to the crowd and keyboard assaults, Niles' smiling and hornplaying, Ryan's antics on bass and drums, the Silverman's dramatic synth and sequencing work and Atwyn's psychedelic guitar and bass playing. Lots of different camera angles and nice use of partial fades so you can watch several band members at once. All of the songs are different from the studio versions, some more than others, different lyrics, different melodies, jammed out, etc. Unfortunately, there's a few problems:  the video (like most) just doesn't do the Dots live show justice ... you had to have been there to truly understand just how immense it is, the sound is questionable in places ... it's difficult to hear the horns and keyboards in several songs and is a bit muddy overall, and last but certainly not least, it's criminally short and incomplete ... no "Andromeda Suite", no "Poppy Day", no "Citadel", no "Scarlet Wish", no "Grain Kings", no "Green Gang". But overall it's still an entertaining watch, a nice flashback inducing reminder of the show I witnessed and most certainly the best LPD video to date ...
