Propeller is Mark Spybey (sounds, production) with E. Simmins (production) and Eric Pounder (classical guitar - 1, 7, 12)

Overall impression: excellent. It seems that Mr. Spybey can do no wrong. This cd, the second under the Propeller moniker, continues where the first, "Rame", left off. Once again, this cd is comprised of many non-titled sound pieces and comes in another unique package, a sort of origami-like fold up light cardstock sleeve with gold impressed lettering. The music is classic pre-"Piss Frond" Spybey:  minimal sound textures and ambience. Unlike Rame though, Oro is probably the quietest/least harsh of all of Spybey's releases to date. The tracks are comprised of the usual ambient loops and melodies with no vocals (there's a few buried radio/tv samples) or beats. Eric Pounder's guitar on 3 tracks is very interesting in conjunction with Spybey's sounds, it's a shame he isn't on more tracks. However, this is one of my favorite Spybey releases so far. The insert suggests the following procedure, which I also recommend:  "a: darkened room: b: abstinence: c: willing: d: random order selection:" ...
