Scorn is Mick Harris. Tracks 1-8 were recorded live to DAT with guitar on tracks 2-8 by Eraldo Bernocchi and tracks 9-12 are studio tracks.

Overall impression: very nice. Perhaps a good cd to listen to while checking email, reading, etc. I wont bother with a track by track listing, the tracks are all pretty much the same in terms of describing them: slow, fat, methodical and repetitive hip-hop tinged beats backed with low, throbbing bass lines and atmospherics. I wouldn't believe there was guitar on there if it didn't say it in the liner notes. The live tracks (1-8) are fairly sparse compared to the studio tracks (9-12), they seem a bit more layered to me. Unfortunately, this is my only Scorn cd so far ... so I can't really compare it to others. But, from what I've heard/read it sounds like this one fits right into the same theme. A very nice cd. Nice collage-like artwork as well. My only complaint is occasional unintended distortion on a few of the live tracks, the DAT mike probably couldn't hack some of the highs ...
