CURRENT 93—THE LONG SHADOW FALLS
A 12" one-sided opaque-white lathe with screen-printed artwork (not shown here) on both sides, of An Hallucinatory Prayer Loop, titled The Long Shadow Falls, a 13-minute-long track. Each copy of the 39 lathes in this THE LONG SHADOW FALLS edition is different to all the other copies in this edition, as each copy has a unique mix of the track. My opening and closing spoken words on the track — "The Long Shadow Falls" and "Why Can’t We All Just Walk Away?" — use different recordings of my voice saying these phrases on each copy.
To be clear—each one of the 39 records in this edition features a unique mix, and will not be available elsewhere on any form of vinyl or lathe or in any other physical medium, except that each of these 39 mixes will be made available as part of a 10CD box, featuring all the different mixes from these two editions, sometime in the future.
39 copies only, each copy hand-numbered and signed by me. Cut by The Bricoleur at Bladud Flies! Housed in a clear PVC sleeve with screen-printed design. Each copy comes with a signed and titled circular painting by me, The Long Shadow Falls, Channelled to me, and then made through me in India ink, in intense red acrylic paint, and in the blackest black acrylic paint ever made, on HandMade Japanese paper. The paper measures 8.5” (21cms) in diameter.
Each copy also comes with 2 HandWritten works on HandMade Nepalese Lokta paper, each measuring 6 by 11” (15 x 28cms), on one of which I have painted the title of this edition, The Long Shadow Falls, and on the other of which I have painted the phrase Why Can’t We All Just Walk Away? Both pieces are signed and numbered by me.
