upcoming releases

look forward to two near-future releases from luke. this information comes straight from ninja tune:

Luke is currently working on a record with Canadian M.C "BluRum 13". BluRum is the M.C for DJ Vadim's "Russian Percussion" live touring setup. He has a forthcoming release on Jazz Fudge. As for who will release the Luke Vibert/BluRum record we're not sure. We'd certainly like to, but nothing has been decided yet.

Wagon Christ's "Musipal" will be coming out on Ninja Tune worldwide, March 2001. Single in February which will likely be for either a track called "Ataride" or "Receiver".

another hard-to-find vibert mp3! i've added "rewind selecta", released under the anagram butler kiev on planet mu's criminal ep. it's a mix/remix of cylob's "rewind" and artful dodger's "re-rewind (the crowd say bo selecta)".

through the grapevine

luke vibert information has been circulating...this is what i've heard:

> luke will release an album with an mc from canada (may be on ninja tune).
> wagon christ: musipal will be released at the start of 2001 on astralwerks.
> luke will tour the united states in march.

also, luke has recently released a new track on ninja tune's xen cuts. it is called "i hear the drummer".

new wagon christ album

sonicnet.com has a great write up about luke's dj gig last saturday in new york city. luke reveals the name of his new wagon christ album: "MusiPal". according to luke, "MusiPal will have some similarities to tally ho!, "but some parts are slower, more downbeat and spacey."

european appearance

luke will be djing at the third annual "monastery of sound" in normandy france. the event will include over thirty artists, including plaid (live), bedouin ascent (live), and mixmaster morris (dj). the party starts on friday, september 15th and continues until sunday, september 17th. for details, please visit law and auder's site.

my interview

i did interview luke vibert in february and i have slowly been transcribing the audio tape. the quality is poor, preventing me from quickly finishing. i would like to have it here soon. stay tuned!
