"The sky is blue and all the leaves are green," sprngs the happy joyous musical set in the Old West in the late 1800s.
The musical brought to you by South Park's Trey
Parker. The first full-length movie to feature Matt Stone and Trey
Parker was released on DVD recently by Troma Entertainment - the same
folks who brought you such classics as 'The Class of Nuke 'em High,'
'Toxic Avenger,' and 'Surf Nazis Must Die.' Cannibal is more than just
a musical comedy, it's a horror western love story as well, with loads
of cheap jokes and jabs. In all its stupidity, I must admit there was
rarely a moment I wasn't laughing. The story unfolds as Alfred Packer,
played by Trey Parker, heads to Colorado from Utah with a few guys to
find gold. When everybody is found dead but Packer, he is tried and
convicted of cannibalism - the only man in US history to be convicted
as such. Much like Orgasmo and Baseketball, it's a lot of stupid fun,
and fun nonetheless.
